Pattaya Floating Market Gate No.4
Pattaya Floating Market is a tourist attraction built around a network of canals and wooden walkways, where vendors sell Thai street food, handicrafts, fresh produce, and souvenirs from stilted shopfronts and traditional boats. The water-based setting gives it a distinct atmosphere compared to standard shopping centres, and visitors often find it more relaxed and uncrowded than expected — particularly in the morning hours or on weekday visits. The market is open every day from 9am to 7pm, and the experience tends to shift throughout the day. Evening visits offer cooler temperatures and photogenic sunset lighting over the canals, while mornings are quieter and easier to navigate at a leisurely pace. Row boat rides are available as a separate activity and can be bundled with entry tickets for a better price through third-party booking platforms such as Trip.com. Food stalls are a highlight for many visitors, with plenty of local Thai dishes and snacks to sample as you walk. A few practical notes worth keeping in mind: visitors who book tickets online should confirm their booking directly with the market before visiting, as some guests have reported issues with timing and redemption windows. Bringing cash is advisable, as not all vendors accept cards. The market's canal paths can be uneven, so comfortable, closed-toe shoes are a sensible choice. Allow at least two hours to explore the full site at a comfortable pace.

Visitor Reviews
Pattaya floating market is one of the best thing to experience while in Pattaya. Ticket prices are a bit higher so better book it in Trip.com to get cheaper price including Entry+Row boat fees. Food and shopping rates are better not to complain much. If you take boat experience, you will wonder how fast they take photo, print it and shows to you at end of your boat ride... They are so fast lol. It's must have experience in pattaya
The floating market was absolutely beautiful, it was so so refreshing and so calming. We went in the evening time as the sun was setting, so we had an amazing experience and got some beautiful photos and videos. The market is also pretty cool, there are variety of stuff and cool snacks and activities as well, like there was baby goat feeding and fish spa too. The floating market was really really nice and very cool and beautiful, we even go free photographs and a free gift as part of the ticket to enter and go on the boat ride. On the boat ride as well, there was a lovely Thai show. Something that bothered me was firstly, entering is pretty expensive and the boat ride was very short in comparison to the ticket price, because after the boat ride you can go to market but its shopping and spending again, however if you have time and the budget then you HAVE to go to this place no matter what. The reason it has 4 stars instead of 5 is because we faced one specific lady in one of her shops who was very rude and mean just because we asked price and didn't buy anything. However everyone else was super super sweet.
I thought this place will be packed of people given how well known the place is, but to my surprise, it was rather relaxing to walk around. I feel like the place needs some serious improvements because I can easily spot some wear and tear. Lots of souvenir shops and restaurants with a slightly premium price, which is to be expected. I recommend shopping and dining elsewhere before or after visiting this place. Unlike other floating markets in Bangkok, there is an entrance fee for this, so if you are on tight budget, I would suggest you to hop on one of the coach buses and visit the ones in Bangkok.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
