Lotus's Krabi Town
This branch of the Lotus's chain (formerly Tesco Lotus) operates as a compact supermarket on Maharaj Road in central Krabi Town, catering primarily to locals and visitors in need of day-to-day supplies. It stocks a reasonable selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, packaged goods, and household basics, making it a practical stop for travellers staying in self-catering accommodation or stocking up for a day trip. Shoppers should note that this is a smaller-format store rather than a full-sized hypermarket, so the product range is more limited than larger Lotus's branches found in bigger Thai cities. That said, it tends to carry items not always available at convenience stores like 7-Eleven, and staff have been noted as helpful when navigating Thai-language product labelling. The fresh produce section is a genuine draw, with a solid variety of local fruits and vegetables on offer. Good to know: Price tags can occasionally be missing or misplaced, particularly around loose goods such as nuts, so it pays to check prices at the register if in doubt. Bringing cash is advisable as a backup, though card payment is generally accepted. The central location makes it easy to combine with other errands or sightseeing in Krabi Town.

Visitor Reviews
I really like this supermarket it had a very good choice of products a young member of staff was helpful in showing me how to use Google lens. I was then able to work out the ingredients in English to see if I could buy the product. I purchased several pieces of cheese which are the supermarkets didn't seem to stock. With the assistance help I also found gluten-free biscuits I wish the cafe been opened at 6:00 when I arrived as I was tired and hungry
Not the biggest Tesco we have been to. However, they had sorted everything nicely and we could get most of the groceries we wanted. Many fresh fruits and vegetables. The same with the meat in all shapes and sizes. When there was something I couldn’t find I asked the staff and they could help me find it.
Some item from 7-Eleven that don't have at, you can buy at Lotus Krabi here.
Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
