Jodd Fairs Ratchada
Running seven nights a week along Ratchadaphisek Road in Din Daeng, this popular night market draws a consistent crowd of locals and visitors looking for an authentic Bangkok evening out. The market is particularly well regarded for its street food culture, with a wide variety of stalls serving classic Thai dishes, snacks, and desserts alongside more than a dozen open-air restaurants specialising in seafood and other hearty meals. Beyond food, vendors sell clothing, accessories, and assorted goods, giving the market a lively, browse-friendly atmosphere after dark. The setting is open-air and colourful, with brightly lit stalls that come into their own once the sun goes down. The front section of the market offers communal seating, which tends to fill up quickly on busier evenings. Long-time visitors have noted that the market has evolved over the years, shifting somewhat away from handmade crafts toward a broader mix of food and general retail — something worth keeping in mind if a particular style of shopping is the goal. The market opens at 17:00 every day and runs until 01:00, making it a flexible option for evening plans throughout a Bangkok stay. Arriving closer to opening time allows for a more relaxed experience before crowds build. Comfortable footwear is practical given the amount of ground to cover, and cash is worth carrying as not all vendors accept card payments. The Facebook page listed serves as the main source for updates on vendors and any special events.

Jodd fair market is a nice stop. Nothing better than walking around at night with brightly lit stalls. Many small foods, snacks. There are over 12 full sized open air restaurants offering seafood and meats. Smaller than some markets. But very clean and organized.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
