Jodd Fairs Ratchada
Running seven nights a week along Ratchadaphisek Road in Din Daeng, this well-established night market draws a consistent mix of locals and visitors looking for an authentic Bangkok evening out. The market is particularly noted for its street food culture, with stalls serving classic Thai dishes, snacks, and desserts alongside more than a dozen open-air restaurants specialising in seafood and heartier meals. Beyond food, vendors sell clothing, accessories, and general goods, giving the market a browse-friendly atmosphere once the sun goes down. The setting is open-air and brightly lit, with communal seating at the front of the market that tends to fill quickly on busier evenings. It is worth noting that the market has shifted over the years away from handmade crafts toward a broader mix of food stalls and general retail, so visitors seeking artisan goods may find the offering less specialised than expected. For those primarily interested in street food and a lively night-market atmosphere, it remains a practical and enjoyable stop. The market opens at 17:00 daily and runs until 01:00, making it an flexible option throughout a Bangkok stay. Arriving closer to opening time gives a more relaxed experience before crowds build, particularly on weekends. Comfortable footwear is advisable given the amount of ground to cover, and carrying cash is recommended as not all vendors accept card payments. The Facebook page listed serves as the main source for updates on current vendors and any special events.

Jodd fair market is a nice stop. Nothing better than walking around at night with brightly lit stalls. Many small foods, snacks. There are over 12 full sized open air restaurants offering seafood and meats. Smaller than some markets. But very clean and organized.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
