Indy Night Market
Tucked into the Makkasan area of Bangkok's Ratchathewi district, this night market draws a mixed crowd of locals, young Thais, and visitors looking for an authentic after-dark experience in the city. Open every night of the week from 7pm, it offers a broad range of street food stalls alongside shopping, making it a practical one-stop destination for an evening out. The atmosphere leans casual and energetic, with music adding to the buzz of a crowd that skews young and local. Visitors consistently highlight the variety and quality of the food, describing it as reasonably priced and genuinely tasty. Beyond eating, there is enough variety in stalls to keep browsers occupied, and the overall vibe rewards those who come to wander rather than follow a strict agenda. Practically speaking, parking is available on site, which is a convenience not always guaranteed at Bangkok night markets. The market runs from 7pm to 11pm every night, so there is no need to rush or plan around specific days. As with most open-air markets in Bangkok, light, breathable clothing is advisable given the heat and the density of the crowd. It tends to get busy, so arriving earlier in the evening gives more room to explore comfortably before the peak crowd builds.

Visitor Reviews
If you’re visiting Phuket old town, be sure to catch the Indy night market. Our most memorable night of our 2 week trip to Thailand thanks to the warm and welcoming vibes of the locals. We originally came for some food, of which there was a vast selection of fresh options for all tastes, from homemade sausage to roti dessert. We found the prices very reasonable, the vendors clean, and the service incredibly friendly. The clothes vendors had a great selection and weren’t pushy like other markets we had visited in Thailand. We ended up having a lovely conversation about life in Thailand with the vendor, who thoughtfully picked out the options she thought would work best for me. We stayed far longer than planned thanks to a warm welcome from the owner of the market himself, his friends, and the musicians who had performed that evening. They invited us to their table where we shared drinks and laughs until the early hours, and have made friends we hope to see again when back in Thailand. Our favourite market of our stay by far.
One of the best night markets of Bangkok . I really enjoyed shopping and the best street food there!!! I would recommend to anyone. The parking is convenient and the food is delicious too . Music and bars are also great and enjoyable too .
This night market located at the city of Bangkok, not other city They have little bit of everything. Variety of foods are mouth-watering and taste good. Reasonably priced .very crowded area. But you can enjoy this atmosphere.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
