Central Bangrak
Formerly operating as Robinson before being upgraded by the same ownership group, Central Bangrak is a mid-sized department store and shopping mall located on Soi Charoen Krung 46 in Bangkok's Si Lom district. The renovation brought new brands, a refreshed layout, and an expanded range of offerings, making it a more polished destination than its predecessor while retaining a manageable, neighbourhood-friendly scale that larger Bangkok malls often lack. Visitors can expect a straightforward multi-floor layout that is easy to navigate, with a mix of fashion, accessories, lifestyle stores, and a Watson's pharmacy. The second floor is particularly noted for children's clothing, toys, and a LEGO play area, making it a practical stop for families. A separate section accessible through automatic doors leads to a food court area with restaurants and dining options, and there is also a game centre on site. The surrounding Si Lom area adds to the appeal, with plenty of street-level activity and further shopping options nearby. Good to know: The mall sits within easy reach of BTS Skytrain connections, making it straightforward to reach without a taxi. Opening hours are not confirmed on major listing platforms, so it is worth checking directly before visiting, particularly for an evening trip. Weekday mornings tend to be quieter if a more relaxed shopping experience is preferred, as the area around Si Lom can get busy during lunch hours and after office hours.

Visitor Reviews
A great mid-sized shopping destination that blends convenience, style, and variety all in one place. The layout is easy to navigate, and the mix of stores — from fashion and accessories to lifestyle and beauty — makes it a fun stop whether you’re browsing or shopping with purpose. The food and café options are especially good: plenty of choices for quick bites, sit-down meals, or coffee breaks — perfect for recharging after exploring the area. I found the atmosphere welcoming and clean, with comfortable seating and a relaxed vibe that’s ideal for both locals and visitors spending a few hours indoors.
This is the second time we have visited Central Bangrak during a trip to Bangkok. On the 2nd floor of the department store there is a range of kids clothes and toys- but also a LEGO play area and a small playground. It is all indoor so great for rainy days. The department store has so much available- it is endless. There is also a range of fast food available and a supermarket with a great international range.
Department store with various of shops, restaurants and game center all in one. Previously its Robinson upgraded to Central (same owner) bring new brands and all new design. Great choice shopping and Dining with many famous brand.
Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
