Nestled in Kamala on Phuket's quieter western coast, The Naka Phuket is a boutique luxury resort and member of the prestigious Design Hotels collection, setting it apart from the island's more mainstream properties. The resort is known for its architecturally striking private pool villas, many of which face directly onto the open sea and offer a level of seclusion that guests consistently highlight. A private beach, infinity pool, spa, bar, and dining facilities round out the on-site offering, making it easy to spend an entire stay without venturing far. Rooms are spacious and villa-style, functioning more like private apartments than standard hotel accommodation, each with its own pool and unobstructed sea views. The breakfast buffet draws particular praise from guests, and the attentiveness of the staff is a recurring theme across visitor feedback. The resort carries a calm, unhurried atmosphere that suits couples and those travelling specifically to unwind. Practically speaking, the property sits some distance from Phuket Town and the busier southern beaches, so guests who plan to explore the island should factor in transport. The resort can arrange services on-site, and the relative remoteness is widely seen as an asset rather than an inconvenience. Given Phuket's rainy season between May and October, travellers visiting during those months should note that the resort's design and amenities make it well-suited to weathering overcast or wet days in comfort. Early booking is advisable, particularly for villas with premium sea views.

« A Truly Private Luxury Experience at The Naka » Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side during our stay—it rained heavily almost every day, and we had very little sunshine. However, staying at The Naka made up for it completely. The service and the staff were like sunshine for us—warm, welcoming, and always with a smile. Our mornings started with a nice and varied breakfast, accompanied by a stunning 180-degree sea view—what a way to begin the day! The pool is large and beautiful, located right next to a peaceful and quiet private beach. The villa concept truly offers privacy and space. Surrounded by lush greenery and shaded trees, it feels relaxing and serene—perfect for unwinding. Even on rainy days, there were activities available like the Kids Club and gym, turning gloomy days into fun and enjoyable ones. Dinner at the hotel was excellent every night whether international or Thai cuisine, everything was good. A special mention goes to the Thai food , delicious. But what stood out the most was the exceptional service from all staff, across every department. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of at all times. Thank you for turning a rainy holiday into a memorable and wonderful one with The Naka style! Special thanks to Dang, Vix, and Tom (Fitness) for making our stay even more special.
What an amazing week my husband and I had at the Naka Phuket! Every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and pampered. This was a last minute booking for us, and nothing was a problem. We enjoyed breakfast daily. The buffet was fresh and had a good selection. The dinner menu at the restaurant was delicious! Some of the best dinners we have ever had. For our anniversary my husband and I enjoyed a private dinner on the beach. Our waiters “Ice” and “Whiskey” were outstanding in their customer service. The other restaurant manager there also deserves a mention, but I can’t remember her name. Our room was immaculate, and the bed comfy. The room had a pool, and was great to come back after a day of adventuring and have a nice swim to cool off. The reception staff could not do enough for us. We were able to get a late check out and nothing was a bother. So friendly. The reception lady “Pang” was outstanding in her customer service! We can’t wait come back next year. Thank you for helping us have an amazing holiday!! Mandy and Andrew
What an amazing stay! Most certainly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We had room 461 and it not only had an amazing and big swimming pool but the view was simply out of this world. The private beach was also great, service was great and generally I loved our stay. If I HAD to change something then the food for both lunch and dinner was average at best and taking into consideration the location of the hotel it forced us to always have dinner out of the hotel. I really think that such an amazing hotel should have significantly better food to keep people inside whereas like mentioned I was always forced to dine outside. A great example of what I would expect is a restaurant like Jaras in the nearby Intercontinental. Add that and you are the worlds best hotel

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
