Belle Villa Resort Pai
Compare prices
Nestled along the HuayPoo WiengNua Road in the tranquil Mae Hong Son province, Belle Villa Resort Pai offers a mix of standard rooms and thatched-roof cottages set within verdant, peaceful grounds. The property features two swimming pools and a terrace restaurant, making it a self-contained retreat for travellers looking to unwind in the Pai valley. Guests can step out front to access a nearby river, and a small working farm adds a charming rural character to the setting. The resort has genuine appeal — spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and attractive natural surroundings — though visitor experiences have been notably inconsistent. Some guests report well-maintained, odour-free rooms, while others have encountered dampness, mould, and maintenance issues, particularly in rooms adjacent to the larger pool. It appears the property is currently undergoing renovations, which may improve conditions over time. The pool closer to the main building tends to attract more mixed feedback than the secondary pool further from the restaurant. Practically speaking, the resort sits away from Pai's town centre, so having a moped or rented transport is strongly advisable for exploring local restaurants, markets, and attractions. Guests are encouraged to inspect their room upon check-in and request a change if it does not meet expectations, as the resort has shown willingness to offer alternatives when issues are raised. Booking a cottage or a pool-access room appears to yield a more positive experience than the standard building rooms.

Visitor Reviews
Stayed in the deluxe pool room and it was lovely. Really enjoyed this hotel, the pool (outside the room, I didn’t use the one nearer the restaurant) was lovely, apart from a few broken tiles at the bottom of the pool with could be a little dangerous but was still lovely overall. All the staff we met were really nice and very polite. Didn’t have any inserts in the room. We didn’t try the restaurant, so can’t comment on it (not because it looked bad, we just wanted to taste different things in Pai. The location is great, just a couple minutes by scooter outside the town so it’s quiet and some nice views of the surroundings. Feels like a luxury hotel without the price tag. We stayed in early October.
The pools are clean the rooms have comfortable beds and mine has no smell at all. The place is beautiful and quite. You can walk out the front to the river and there is a small farm doing it thing of to the side. There is zero town/bar noise. This place is great.
I have no good things to say about the rooms in the main building (next to the large pool). The walls are completely damp and this emits a strong smell. When we addressed this, were offered a different room in the complex which was facing the same issue (and was actually worse as you could see moist spots on the ceiling). The facilities are also very old in this building and in general I don’t have anything positive to say about these rooms. After we brought this up, staff offered the possibility to stay in the cottages, which are much nicer and do not face similar issues. They were very friendly and understanding and made no problems to make the switch at all. It was maybe because it was end of October and not high season yet, but there was no breakfast buffet, only a limited choice from card. The breakfast was however tasty and service here was great with a very nice view over the calm Pai countryside. It’s a 20-min walk from the city of Pai but they offer a shuttle service and a pickup service so you aren’t too limited in your visits. All in all important to keep in mind the pictures do not give a proper representation of this resort, especially when it comes to the pools and the poolside rooms.
