The beach offers white sand, palm-lined shores, and relatively calm water, making it suitable for swimming as well as simply unwinding. Despite its name, the atmosphere here is anything but solitary — beachside bars, guesthouses, and small eateries create a convivial scene that tends to come alive in the evenings. Good to know: Koh Chang's peak season runs from November through April, when rainfall is minimal and sea conditions are at their calmest. Getting to Lonely Beach requires travelling to Trat and then taking a ferry to Koh Chang, followed by a short journey by songthaew or taxi down the island's western coast road.
