Wat Chang Lom

Wat Chang Lom is one of the most distinctive temple ruins within the Sukhothai Historical Park, noted for its large central chedi encircled by a row of elephant sculptures at its base. The name itself translates to "temple surrounded by elephants," and the structure lives up to its name — the elephants, though weathered by centuries, remain an evocative and photogenic feature that sets this temple apart from others in the park. It sits in the central zone of the historical park and reflects the architectural ambitions of the early Sukhothai kingdom, offering a genuine sense of stepping back into 13th-century Thai history.
