Lotus's Krabi
This Lotus's hypermarket and shopping complex serves as one of Krabi's most practical and well-rounded retail destinations, offering far more than a standard supermarket experience. Anchored by a large Lotus's store stocking groceries, fresh produce, clothing, and household goods, the complex has expanded over time to include a food court, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bubble tea stalls, a Dunkin' Donuts, and a range of specialty stores. There is also a cinema on-site, making it a genuinely versatile stop for an afternoon or evening out. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and geared toward everyday shopping rather than tourist retail. Visitors tend to find it useful for stocking up on supplies before heading to the islands or simply for experiencing a slice of ordinary local life in Krabi. The food court in particular draws positive attention, with a wide variety of affordable Thai dishes available. Parking is plentiful, and the overall layout is easy to navigate. Worth noting is that the complex sits outside of Krabi town proper, so those staying centrally will need transport to get there. It sits near a Big C store, so the two can conveniently be combined in a single shopping trip. Visiting during standard daytime hours is advisable, and arriving on a weekday tends to mean smaller crowds. The helpful staff and generally well-maintained facilities make it a reliable choice for travellers needing to restock or simply looking for a comfortable, air-conditioned break from the heat.

Visitor Reviews
Down the road and a short distance away from Big C store is the Lotus Superstore. Somewhat newer, more modern and larger in size but the concept is the same all over Thailand 🇹🇭. A branded anchor tenant with lots of other shops and food center houses in a single complex. Lotus is More crowded meaning that locals prefer coming here? There's also a Cinema here. More restaurants here too!! Including Swensens, KFC and MK.
Couldnt find the cinema on its own. It was hell finding a good screening in the whole town, we ended up here, and we did not regret it. The staff was very helpful, their terminals were not working, and they did not speak english, so it was quite tricky to get over that, but it was more funny than annoying. The room had good temperature, the screen was alright, we had no issues at all.
A great complex now revamped and better than ever. Far more than just a supermarket and department store. There is still plenty of parking and now more restaurants, cafes and specialty stores. Just hoping that eventually more English speaking movies will be shown in the Cinema!
Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
