Visitor Reviews
Very polite workers. Always willing to help and guide. Very good train station. Easy to buy tickets either through a touchscreen self ticketing or through the ticketing booths. Self ticketing machine only accepts 100-50-20 thB bank notes. Conveniently located in the middle of bangkok.
From here you get airport express metro only in 45 bhat you reach in 30 min from here ,but there is special airport terminal
I did a thorough review of the connection between the airport lane and the BTS Phaya Thai stations. Overall, it is an extremely simple process. You simply disembark your train and head downstairs. You will then cross the platform where there are many restaurants and coffee shops at lying the walkway. 100 meters or so you come across the ticket line for BTS skytrain. Overall, the process is extremely simple, but it is a bit of a hassle that you have to get a new ticket and that the sky trains do not use the sound system. However, if you’re looking for a direct route to the airport this is the best option
Tips for Visiting Transportation
Take the Sleeper Train at Least Once
The Bangkok-to-Chiang Mai overnight train in a second-class sleeper berth is a bucket-list experience. Book at least a week ahead via 12Go.asia or at Hua Lamphong station. Upper berths are cheaper and have more headroom; lower berths have a window.
Use Grab Everywhere
Grab is the Uber of Southeast Asia and works across Thailand for cars, motorbike taxis, and even tuk-tuks in some cities. It eliminates haggling and provides fare estimates upfront. Load a Thai SIM or use eSIM to stay connected.
Rent Scooters Carefully
Always photograph the scooter's existing damage before riding off, and keep your passport — give a photocopy instead (some shops insist on the original; avoid these). Wear a helmet; police fine 500 THB for no helmet and accidents without one void insurance.
