Maimorn Forest
Tucked along Phangnga Road in central Phuket, this outdoor Thai and seafood restaurant offers a setting that feels surprisingly removed from the surrounding city streets. Tables are arranged among dense greenery and positioned above ponds stocked with fish, creating an immersive atmosphere that diners frequently describe as magical — open-air dining with nature as a backdrop, best appreciated as the sun goes down and the lighting takes on an evening character. The menu covers a broad range of Thai dishes alongside fresh seafood, with prawns earning consistent praise from visitors. Pricing sits at a mid-range level for Phuket, with main courses, drinks, and desserts available at accessible price points. The spacious layout makes it a comfortable choice for both small groups and larger family gatherings, and staff receive frequent positive mentions for their attentiveness. A small number of visitors have noted inconsistency with spice levels and portion sizes, so communicating preferences clearly when ordering is advisable. Good to know: Opening hours are not listed online, so calling ahead or arriving during standard Thai lunch and dinner service times is the safest approach. The Phangnga Road location is straightforward to reach by tuk-tuk or local transport from most parts of the city. Given the fully outdoor setting, visiting in the early evening offers the most comfortable temperatures alongside the best of the atmospheric surroundings.

Visitor Reviews
A corner of Thailand under the stars - Unforgettable experience! Dining at this outdoor Thai restaurant was a real journey of the senses. The atmosphere is magical: tables surrounded by greenery, soft lights among the plants and a light breeze that accompanies every course. The service was impeccable, with smiling and attentive staff, ready to explain every dish with passion. Authentic food and overwhelming flavours Every dish is an explosion of taste: from the perfectly balanced Pad Thai to the creamy and spicy green curry at the right point, to the chicken satays with peanut sauce that melt in your mouth. The portions are generous and the presentation is cared for down to the smallest detail. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere The outdoor garden is an oasis of tranquillity, perfect for a romantic dinner or an evening with friends. Suspended lanterns and soft music create a relaxing and evocative environment, which makes you forget about being in the city. Recommended for: • Lovers of authentic Asian cuisine • Those looking for a unique outdoor culinary experience • Special occasions or simply a different evening than usual Rating: 10/10 – We will definitely be back!
We were looking for good food and new experience. We saw this place and from the outside it looked interesting. Out table was above water and fish which set the mood. The food was amazing. The prawn cake was an absolute dream. The chicken was done correct and spiced to perfection. The sauces were a little sweet and spicy. The jungle like environment kept me cool and away from the sun. An experience truly worth trying. After 4 tasty meals we only spent 1700 baht! I LOVE THAILAND!
Excellent food Excellent staff and waiter Excellent atmosphere The prices are good for this type of restaurant I paid 160 for the main course, 70 for the iced coffee and less than 70 for the desert. The taste is really good by the way. Thanks so much!

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
