Set Sail Pai Café
Tucked away in the Thung Yao area outside central Pai, this café has built a strong reputation among visitors for its commitment to quality ingredients and house-made sourdough bread. The kitchen turns out standout brunch dishes, with eggs Benedict — including a pulled pork variation — frequently praised by visitors as a highlight of their time in Pai. The drink menu is equally considered, spanning specialty coffee, matcha, and fresh juices. The atmosphere leans relaxed and unhurried, reflecting the wider character of Pai itself. A sandpit on the premises makes it a practical choice for travellers with young children. Seating is casual and the setting feels removed from the busier parts of town, offering a quieter environment to linger over a meal. Staff are consistently described as friendly and attentive. On the practical side, Set Sail Pai Café opens daily at 8:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM, making it well suited for breakfast or a leisurely brunch. It does not serve dinner. The café is located at Moo 11, Thung Yao, a short distance from the main Pai town centre, so arriving by scooter or vehicle is advisable. No website is listed, so checking current menu availability in advance may be difficult — vegan and dietary options can vary by day.

Visitor Reviews
My girlfriend told me how great this place was from her visit here last year. We both had the pulled pork eggs Benedict and I will say it is the best eggs Benedict I’ve had! The pork was perfect and the sourdough was really good. I also had an espresso which was nice too. Good prices and a lovely outside seating area. I will be coming here often during my stay in Pai. :D
Best food in Pai! The place is serene and produce is excellent. They make thoer own sourdough bread, the food is phenomenal and the drinks too (any coffee, matcha and juices). Don't miss out on this breakfast, just remember to check opening hours
I got the vegan sourdough toast with beet and avocado - it was the only vegan option that day. The atmosphere was chill. There was even a sand pit - if you have little kids and want to bring them. Overall nice ambiance.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
