The Best Pancake in Chaweng
Tucked along a street in Bo Put on Koh Samui, this small street-side stall has earned a loyal following among travellers seeking something genuine amid the island's more tourist-oriented food scene. The owner is widely praised by visitors for his warmth, cheerfulness, and ability to remember returning customers — a personal touch that sets this spot apart from neighbouring vendors. He is noted to speak multiple languages, including Hindi, making it a welcoming stop for international visitors. The stall specialises in Thai-style pancakes and rotis, with the banana Nutella variety drawing particular praise. Eggless options are available, making it accessible for vegetarians and those with dietary preferences. The food is consistently described as freshly made and satisfying, drawing repeat visits from guests staying nearby. A practical note for planning: the stall opens in the early evening and operates until the early hours of the morning, with hours running 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM every day of the week. This makes it well-suited as a late-night snack stop after dinner or a night out. No website or advance booking is available, so simply turn up during operating hours. Given the street setting and informal nature of the stall, expect a casual, stand-and-eat experience rather than a sit-down meal.

Visitor Reviews
The owner, Ma ma aer yo, is a such a humble and friendly face in a street full of inauthentic tourism. Remembered my order from the day before and his roti's are amazing!! After having eaten several ones at breakfasts and the night markets, this is the one I came back to all the remaining days. Seems to love what he does and serves the perfect square thin pancakes 🙏
Was one of the best Thai style pancakes we had in Koh Samui. This guy is an amazing person, very kind and cheerful. Speaks multiple languages including Hindi. Eggless pancakes are available for those who eat only Veg Food. The pancake was definitely amazing but got to meet a nice person who loves what he does!! Please stop by and try his pancakes.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
