Wok & Pan Koh Samui
Wok & Pan sits quietly on a side street in the Bo Put area of Koh Samui, a deliberate step away from the crowded main road restaurants that dominate the tourist trail. That low-key setting appears to be part of the appeal — diners consistently describe it as a place that feels real rather than performative, with an owner and staff who are attentive, accommodating, and clearly invested in the food they serve. It draws the kind of loyalty that sees visitors returning multiple times within a single trip. The menu centres on traditional Thai cooking, with wok-fired and pan-cooked dishes forming the backbone of what's on offer. Western options are also available for those travelling with mixed tastes, and the kitchen shows flexibility with dietary requirements — reviewers note that vegetarian adjustments, such as shrimp-free curries, are handled willingly and without fuss. Portions and pricing are consistently described as good value, and the setting suits both casual lunches and relaxed evening meals. Good to know: Wok & Pan opens at 9am and stays open until 11pm every day of the week, which makes it a reliable option regardless of your itinerary. The Bo Put address puts it within the quieter, more residential north of the island rather than the busier beach strips — worth factoring in if you're staying elsewhere on Koh Samui. No website is listed, so stopping in directly or asking your accommodation about directions is the most straightforward approach.

Visitor Reviews
We ended up visiting this restaurant six times in just five days, which probably says more than anything else. From our first visit, it was clear this place is doing something right, and we kept coming back to try more of the menu. Over the course of our visits, we sampled a wide variety of dishes, and everything was consistently fresh, well prepared, and full of flavor. Whether it was something familiar or something new, the quality never dropped, which is impressive given how often we returned. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive every time, making us feel genuinely welcome rather than rushed. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and really enjoy your meal. If you’re debating whether it’s worth trying — it definitely is. We don’t usually return to the same restaurant this often on a single trip, but this one earned it. Highly recommended. It’s a must visit ✌🏽😊
Passed by this little restaurant on way to laundry next door. Young man was so accommodating to our vegetarian requirements and got chef to make green curry and other dishes without usual shrimp and fish sauces. Whole family enjoyed the flavoursome and slightly fiery dishes. Drinks were also fresh and the whole meal was good value. I would recommend this restaurant for the food and friendly staff.
Great wee restaurant with good friendly service. Food is authentic Thai but they also have western options. Our Thai dishes were fantastic, also had nice white wine and cold beer. Great value. Complimentary water melon that we couldn’t eat as too full but a nice touch. Will definitely go back here.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
