Wingman Music Bar
Wingman Music Bar on Prapokklao Road has carved out a solid spot in Chiang Mai's nightlife scene by keeping things simple: live bands, good drinks, and a relaxed crowd. Situated in the Si Phum district within the Old City, it draws a mix of locals and travellers who come for the music and tend to stay for the atmosphere. The venue typically features live bands performing two to three sets per evening across a range of genres, often followed by a DJ to keep the night going. The space itself is compact and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Indoor is where the music hits hardest, while the outdoor area offers a slightly quieter option for conversation. The cocktail menu is on the smaller side but well-regarded, and the craft beer selection runs around 200 THB per drink. A QR code ordering system keeps things easy, and the kitchen turns out reliable bar snacks worth ordering alongside your drinks. Good to know: the atmosphere builds as the night progresses, so arriving around 9 PM or later tends to give the best experience. The Old City location is easily reachable by tuk-tuk or songthaew from most central accommodation. Since opening hours are not listed online, it is worth checking locally before heading out, though the venue follows a typical evening bar schedule.

Visitor Reviews
This place has a great, relaxed atmosphere and truly delivers for music enthusiasts. They feature live bands performing two to three sets, depending on the day, showcasing a variety of musical genres. The fun lasts from early evening until closing and beyond!
Good craft beer selection (~200THB each) and nice music. Outdoor seating is a tad quieter as indoor. Edit: food is great (had the fries and sausage). Initial review had one instead of zero by accident as I didn’t have any food on the first visit
Great music! We enjoyed the night. The place is cozy, but easily found a table for two people on Saturday night. The band was cool as well. The menu is not that big, but cocktails are delicious
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
