Lamai Night Plaza
Located on Thanon Had Lamai in Koh Samui's Lamai Beach area, this compact open-air market serves primarily as a food court and casual browsing spot for visitors staying in the surrounding beach district. It operates daily from 10:00 to 22:00, making it accessible throughout the day and into the evening. The food offering is the clear highlight here, with visitors noting standout dishes including fresh barracuda among the dining options. The shopping side of the market skews heavily toward tourist souvenirs, and the overall footprint is small enough that most visitors cover the entire space in under fifteen minutes. It functions more reliably as a place to grab a meal than as a destination for local goods or unique finds. Travellers with expectations of a large, bustling night market with a wide variety of vendors may find Lamai Night Plaza underwhelming. It is best approached as a convenient, low-key dining stop rather than a primary attraction. Those staying in the Lamai area will find it a practical option for an evening meal without needing to travel far, but visitors seeking a more extensive market experience may want to pair it with other shopping and dining destinations on the island.

I love this place
Place is nice to get food. Had really awesome barracuda. The shops are touristy though, so come here of you want to eat, but not if you want to shop
A very tiny night market. We didn't spend a lot of time here. After one little walk around we left for an other place

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
