Tiny Hostel Pai
Tiny Hostel Pai is one of the most affordable places to sleep in Pai, with nightly rates reportedly as low as 100 to 200 baht depending on the room type. Situated in Tambon Wiang Tai, it draws budget travellers looking to keep costs down without landing somewhere unpleasant. The hostel earns consistent praise for its cleanliness and the warmth of its host, Mr. Ken, who is known for being responsive, kind, and usually on hand at reception. Free tea and coffee are available each morning, a small but appreciated touch. Guests should go in with clear expectations: this is a bare-minimum hostel, not a boutique stay. Downstairs dorm beds share two bathrooms, and the setup is simple throughout. That said, the upstairs rooms offer more privacy and access to a balcony, which reviewers recommend requesting if available. Air-conditioned rooms are on offer at slightly higher rates, and hot showers are a reliable feature guests mention positively. A practical note worth keeping in mind: the hostel does not appear to use room keys, with the front door remaining accessible while Mr. Ken manages the desk. Travellers prioritising security or comfort over price may want to weigh this, but for those chasing genuine value in Pai, Tiny Hostel delivers exactly what it promises. Booking directly through the hostel website at tinyhostel-pai.com is worth checking before arrival.

Visitor Reviews
Super cheap, 100-150 baht per night. Staff is so sweet. It’s bare minimum kind of place though, keep that in mind. It’s clean. Free tea and coffee in mornings. Two bathrooms for all of downstairs beds and one bathroom for rooms upstairs. I recommend upstairs beds! I stayed in both, and upstairs is better. More quiet and more space to put your stuff. AC is not needed (at least not in January), it was cold at night
Mr. Ken is nice and friendly. There are no keys the door is always open but Mr. Ken is usually at the Reception. Beds are fine. We payed 200 per night in the AC rooms. Shower was warm enough and toilets clean enough.
Cheapest hostel in Pai and a great spot. Comfortable, private and a nice balcony. Stay upstairs if you can
