Pai Nam Now
Tucked behind Pai Walking Street on the peaceful far side of the river, Pai Nam Now offers bungalow-style accommodation that balances genuine tranquility with easy access to town. The property sits in the Mae Hee subdistrict, close enough to Pai's main attractions to walk, yet far enough removed that guests enjoy a noticeably quieter atmosphere than properties closer to the center. Rooms and huts are well-maintained and spacious, with cleanliness consistently praised by guests. A standout feature is the homemade breakfast served daily, accompanied by fresh coffee — a detail that regularly earns mention in visitor feedback alongside the warm, attentive service from the owner and staff. The surrounding setting has a relaxed, easy-going character that suits travelers looking to slow down and settle into Pai's unhurried pace. The river crossing and short walk to Pai Walking Street means restaurants, markets, and nightlife are within easy reach without intruding on the property's calm. Good to know: Pai is best visited between November and February, when cooler temperatures and dry weather make exploring the town and surrounding Mae Hong Son mountains most comfortable. The property is accessible from Chiang Mai by minivan or bus, a journey of roughly three to four hours along a winding mountain road. Advance booking is strongly recommended during peak season, particularly over the cool-season months and Thai public holidays when accommodation fills quickly.

Visitor Reviews
We really loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and everything was clean and cozy. The location is also great, close to the main streets, but at the same time in a very quiet and peaceful area. In the evenings it was calm and relaxing. The only issue was that the shower drain didn’t work very well. Sometimes it was fine, but other times the water didn’t drain at all. Also, it was quite cold at night (we stayed at the end of January). Other than that, everything was simply wonderful. The breakfast was tasty and always beautifully decorated with fruits.
Such a perfect place to relax in Pai! The atmosphere is super quiet and easy-going, and the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. It’s just a short walk to Pai Walking Street, so you get the best of both worlds — close to everything but still peaceful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the beds were amazing! Breakfast was also delicious every morning. The owner has three cats, and one of them was super cuddly — he even slept with one of us. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a calm, cozy stay in Pai!
The huts are behind the walking street in a silent area at the other side of the river. You just have to take a 2-3mins walk and arrive to the middle of the night. Breakfast is exceptional, the rooms are cosy but nothing extra. Comfortable beds, shower opportunity and little terrace to enjoy the day or night. Definitely 5/5 in this price range and location wise.

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
