Hilltop Wellness Resort
Perched on a hillside in the quieter Rassada area of Phuket, this wellness resort and hotel offers a calm alternative to the island's busier beach zones. Guests stay in spacious rooms and suites, with some offering sunrise views and spa baths, alongside access to a pool and on-site restaurant. The elevated setting lends itself naturally to relaxation, and the resort caters to both overnight stays and structured wellness programmes, including yoga retreats. The atmosphere is consistently described by visitors as peaceful and welcoming, with staff noted for being friendly and communicative. Families, couples, and solo travellers have all found the resort a comfortable base, with executive suites spacious enough for larger groups. The on-site dining is available to guests, and the B&B option with restaurant access has drawn positive mention. One practical note from guests: the hillside terrain can present challenges for visitors with limited mobility or difficulty navigating slopes. Given that specific opening hours and service menus are not listed online, travellers planning a wellness retreat or spa session are advised to contact the resort directly before arrival to confirm availability and current programmes. Last-minute bookings have worked out well for some guests, but reaching out in advance is the safer approach, particularly for multi-night retreat packages.

Visitor Reviews
Hilltop is a great place to stay if you want to relax and avoid the crowds. The room was comfortable with a lovely view and easy access to the pool. One thing to note is accessibility. Guests with disabilities may find it challenging, as the lift only serves the 1st and 5th floors, and the other floors require using the stairs. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was really nice and healthy. While the selection is not very large, it is well prepared and ideal for guests looking for gluten free or vegan options. I would especially like to mention Jamie, who made our stay truly memorable. From the moment we met her at breakfast, she stood out for her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for guests. Many people we spoke to also mentioned how lovely she is, which says a lot. She has a friendly manner, a lovely smile, and a great accent, and she makes every guest feel welcomed and valued, almost like family. You can meet her in the morning, and she leaves a very positive impression that stays with you even after your stay.
My solo 4day-3night Yoga Retreat was booked very last minute, good night before I checked in. I spent nine days touring Thailand and was looking for a relaxing retreat. How lucky that I found this amazing Wellness Resort. I escaped the hustle and bustle and we will leave here feeling vibrant and healthy. That is in most part due to the amazing staff and amenities. Jamie is such a welcome presence every morning at breakfast. I was always warmly greeted by her and the staff each morning and evening. They serve a wide array of food, clearly both nutritious and appetizing. The vegetables are grown right here on site. The decor in the restaurant is classy and inviting with an option to sit inside or outside. The room was perfect the yoga classes (Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa) we’re excellent and truly transformative for me. I will truly miss Jamie and her colleague Meen for breakfast each morning. Each day I think about when and how I can get back here again.
The welcoming staff start the journey into this beautiful hotel. K greeted us with a warm and helpful manner and explained things to us in very good English. We stayed B&B but paid to eat in the restaurant as it was so lovely and the staff there were really accommodating and helpful especially Thae. This is a little jewel in the lush green flora and fauna. You can explore the nature walk, treetop yoga room, hot and cold whirlpools or just sit in the relaxing reading room with free afternoon teas. We stayed in a zen room number 304 and the lady who looked after our room was very thorough and paid attention to every little detail. This is a perfect place to relax made even more special by the helpful, kind staff here. We will definitely be back and we will be recommending this hotel to anyone we know intending to travel to this area.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
