Sawasdee Pai Yoga
Tucked away in the laid-back town of Pai, this outdoor yoga studio offers a refreshing alternative to air-conditioned gym settings. Classes are held in an open-air space that catches a natural breeze, creating a calm and authentically Thai atmosphere that visitors frequently highlight as a standout feature of the experience. Both Hatha and Vinyasa Hatha styles are on offer, taught by resident instructors including Harry and Linda, with class sizes that can sometimes be small enough to feel like a near-private session. The studio caters to mixed-ability groups, and on quieter days, visitors may find themselves in a one-on-one setting with an instructor. Guests have noted being welcomed with cold green tea on arrival. That said, the quality of instruction can vary depending on the teacher and class format, with some beginners finding certain sessions less guided than expected — so those new to yoga may want to communicate their experience level before class begins. Practically speaking, the earliest class of the day starts at 9:30am, making it one of the first yoga options available in Pai each morning, with an additional evening Vinyasa Hatha session at 5:30pm. Walk-ins are welcome and no advance booking is required, making it easy to drop in around other travel plans.

Visitor Reviews
I was lucky enough to go on a quiet day and got a 121 with Linda the wonderful yoga teacher. It is a lovely, typically Thai place, which is what I like. Linda took me through a thoughtful Hatha practice and gave me some adaptations for when my body didn't want to go fully into the pose. As Linda is Thai I didn't expect her English to be perfect but it is very good. I listened carefully and was able to follow well. This helped bring me really into the session too. I've come away feeling like I've got a new body. kob kun Kah Linda 🙏
This was one of my best yoga experiences to date! I was greeted with a nice cold green tea, and was a bit surprised to be doing yoga outside, but the space really caught a nice breeze and had a good view of the river. It was really peaceful. Our yoga instructor Pixie was very sweet and demonstrated the different levels in which we could do the yoga poses. She ended the class with a little massage to help us relax and a short sound bath. So glad I came!
One of the best yoga classes I have ever been to! Harry was our teacher for the 5.30pm Vinyasa Hatha and he was so great. There were three of us in the class all with different abilities and he still managed to make the practice flow beautifully. I left the class feeling so refreshed and also happy to have learnt some new poses! Would recommend to everyone passing through Pai to practice here :)

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
