347 Happy life meditation retreat
Tucked along Wua Lai Road in the Hai Ya area of Chiang Mai, this intimate meditation retreat offers a genuine, structured introduction to meditation practice for visitors of all experience levels. The retreat is closely associated with Master Kaie, whose teaching style is consistently described by visitors as approachable, compassionate, and grounded in both theory and practical technique. Sessions typically begin with a discussion of meditation's purpose and philosophy before moving into hands-on practice, giving participants meaningful context alongside the experience itself. Beyond standard meditation classes, the retreat also offers chanting and sound healing sessions led by additional teachers, making it a well-rounded wellness destination rather than a single-format programme. Multi-day retreat options are available, such as a three-day format running approximately two hours per day, which allows for gradual progression and deeper learning. Visitors have noted that the retreat holds particular value for those dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression, with the environment described as supportive and transformative. The retreat is conveniently located near the Silver Temple (Wat Sri Suphan), making it possible to combine a temple visit with a meditation session on the same trip. As no website or booking information is currently listed, prospective visitors are advised to contact the retreat directly or visit in person to confirm availability and session times before making plans.

Visitor Reviews
Very positive experience with Master Kaie. I did the three day retreat (2 hrs per day) and also had the opportunity to do a chanting and sound healing session with another teacher. I liked the practical personal development focus of the program and it is nice to do this in a temple area rather than a yoga studio. My only suggestion would be to recommend Master Kaie does not use her phone during the session as it distracts a little from the focus and concentration and peace we are trying to find together. I recommend others try this when in Chiang Mai.
We took a meditation course as a couple, and it was a wonderful experience. The session lasted about two hours. We first learned some theory and talked about the purpose of meditation, and afterwards we were guided through several different meditation techniques. Our meditation teacher was incredibly kind, warm-hearted, open and genuinely engaged. We felt very comfortable from the first moment. highly recommended!
Best meditation experience I had in a while, and the best in Thaïlande. I was lucky to learn and practice with Master Kaie. Her approach is really beginner friendly and helps to understand and learn about Meditation. I recommend taking this course if you are in Chiang Mai and want to learn more about yourself. And you will also be able to have a look at the silver temple, the most beautiful temple in Chiang Mai.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
