Tree Town Street Food Area
Tucked along Soi Buakhao in central Pattaya, Tree Town Street Food Area is an open-air food court where multiple vendors serve a wide variety of Thai dishes under one roof. Its location makes it accessible for travellers staying in the main tourist corridor who want a more local-feeling dining experience without straying too far from familiar surroundings. The relaxed, communal setup is typical of Thai street food culture, with vendors calling out to passing guests and a social atmosphere that rewards those willing to browse before settling on a stall. The selection spans classic Thai dishes, and visitors generally find something to suit their tastes given the range of options available. That said, reviews suggest quality and value can vary between vendors — some dishes land well, while others feel slightly overpriced for a street food setting. Ordering from multiple stalls is a practical way to get the most out of the visit, particularly for groups with different preferences. Good to know: Tree Town operates primarily as an evening venue, so visiting from late afternoon onwards gives the best chance of finding vendors open and fully stocked. Prices are generally reasonable by Pattaya standards, though a handful of reviewers note that some stalls charge more than expected for the setting, so it is worth checking prices before ordering. No booking is required, and casual clothing is entirely appropriate.

Visitor Reviews
This street food place was great! I loved the service and welcoming nature of the people there, especially after you sit or agree to eat from their shop (hehe). The variety and selection of food was absolutely insane, they had almost everything. The quality of the food we ordered was honestly unmatchable, It was a perfect mix of tasty, local, street, clean and absolutely beautiful. The vibes, people and atmosphere was also great, yes everyone around you is drunk and pretty gone but it is still generally safe and pretty good vibes. A nice place to catch a meal at anytime of the day, literally as they closes at 5 am. Lastly, the prices for the food were also great and very reasonable... I highly suggest this place as its also near the very lively tree town Pattaya area.
Lots of choices. Good food albeit slightly overpriced.
Tree town gets three reviews from me putting it right in the middle because I try to be objective but a place like this will always be subjective. If you're young it'll probably be four or five stars but if you're older it'll be one or two. A good selection of bars with televisions for sport and music but all competing with one another. I'm sure many people have their favourite bars in a place like this and they will be fine once you get established. Service is pretty average as are the drinks and food. Entertainment is brash.
Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
