Nahm
Perched by the water in Koh Samui's Bo Phut area, Nahm is a fusion restaurant that draws visitors as much for its setting as its food. The waterfront location makes it a particularly appealing choice around sunset, when the views over the water become a highlight of the meal in their own right. The atmosphere strikes a balance between relaxed and polished, making it suitable for a special dinner without feeling overly formal. The food receives consistent praise from visitors, with dishes noted for strong flavours and generous portions that lend themselves well to sharing. Cocktails and drinks are equally well regarded, and the service is frequently described as attentive and friendly. While some visitors note the pricing leans toward the higher end of mid-range — in part reflecting the setting and experience — most consider it good value for what is offered. Good to know: Nahm is popular enough that securing a reservation can be difficult, so booking ahead is strongly recommended. Arriving before sunset is widely suggested by visitors to make the most of the waterfront seating. Having your own transport or arranging a ride in advance is practical for reaching this quieter pocket of Bo Phut.

Visitor Reviews
We went to Nahm for dinner and would highly recommend arriving before sunset so you can sit by the water and enjoy the view. The food was excellent, and the drinks were just as good. Overall, it was a really lovely experience. I went with one of my girlfriends for a night out, and we left having a great, memorable time. Definitely a spot I’d recommend.
Had a great experience here! The dishes were delicious and came in portion sizes perfect for sharing between two people. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. But the real star of the night was the espresso martini — absolutely fantastic! We ordered two rounds! oh no my boyfriend had 3! He loved it 😋
We had a stunning meal here, was my favourite in Koh samui. Highly recommend, amazing food and the view and atmosphere is lovely! Staff very attentive and polite too. Highly recommend!
Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
