COCA Pop Up Hua Hin
Tucked along Phet Kasem Road near Hua Hin's city centre and night market, this casual pop-up restaurant has quietly built a loyal following for its Thai-Chinese menu and unpretentious atmosphere. Regulars consider it one of the most consistently excellent dining spots in town, particularly notable given how rarely crowded it tends to be. The menu leans into Chinese-Thai comfort food done with care. Standout dishes highlighted by visitors include the smooth congee, oversized you char kuay (Chinese dough fritters), crispy pork kra pao served with signature fried dough, and shrimp har gow generously filled with whole pieces of prawn. A house-made chili sauce and well-executed soup broths round out a menu that rewards repeat visits. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff friendly, though the roadside setting on a busy main road means some traffic noise is to be expected. COCA Pop Up opens daily from 8:00 AM, making it a practical choice for breakfast or an early lunch before heading to the beach or exploring nearby attractions. Friday and Saturday hours extend to 9:00 PM, offering a dinner option on weekends. Given its pop-up format, it is worth checking the Facebook page before visiting, particularly during public holidays or off-season periods, to confirm current hours and availability.

Visitor Reviews
Fantastic place to have a good breakfast in Hua Hin. So, smooth the Congee, and so ginormous the You Char Kuay (Chinese dough fritters). It’s so big you just can’t shove it into your mouth, it’s like You Char Kuay on steroids. Coca as we knew since childhood was renowned for their hotpot in Singapore, like some 30 years back. The business in Thailand used to be similar but has diversified a lot. I was delighted to have stumbled into this Coca Popup along the main road of Hua Hin. Here they serve up dim sum dishes, the must have congee and exotic Lobster Laksa just to name a few. You Char Kuay is a rarity, and with Laksa also in their menu, I wondered if the chain had been influenced by the hawker fare of Malaysia and Singapore. This eatery is located in one of the old shophouses. The interior had been refurbished into a trendy setting with reminisces of traditional Chinese kopi-tiam vibes. Parking here was on the street side, and we were lucky enough to find a spot right in front of the shop. The place is cozy small so it will not be able to handle a crowd. There was one table of foreigners and a local couple having breakfast at the same time as us. Must eat here while in Hua Hun, it will be worth your while.
Quite simply my favourite restaurant in Hua Hin by a long shot. If it were anywhere but Hua Hin they’d be queuing outside the door. The Crispy Pork Kra Pao with signature fry dough is sublime. The fluffy dough contrasting with the spicy flavourful pork. This is my second visit and I’ll come again before I leave.
Never crowded so underrated ? But always excellent as a mix of Thai-Chinese food. One of my favourite address in Huahin nearby city center and night market.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
