Rosprasert Muslim Food
Tucked along Isaraparb Road close to a local mosque — and surrounded by other halal eateries — this family-run spot has built a loyal following among Muslim travellers and locals alike seeking straightforward, honest cooking. The kitchen keeps things simple and focused, with no MSG or added sugar according to regulars, letting the natural flavours of the dishes carry the meal. The menu leans into familiar halal staples done well: chicken curry, yellow rice with chicken (with a choice of leg or breast), and a well-regarded oxtail soup that draws repeat visitors. Spice levels are noted as quite pronounced, so those sensitive to heat may want to ask before ordering. The atmosphere is casual and unpretentious, with the warmth of a family operation adding to the experience. Prices are in line with local street-food expectations, making it an accessible option for budget-conscious travellers. Good to know: Opening hours are not published online, so it is worth checking with your accommodation before making the trip. The restaurant sits in a neighbourhood with several other halal dining options, which makes the area a practical stop for Muslim travellers looking to explore Chiang Rai's food scene. Arriving outside of peak lunch and dinner hours gives a better chance of securing a table without a wait.

Visitor Reviews
The restaurant is located near the mosque and it's surroundings have a lot of halal restaurants. The food is delicious, the spice taste is quite strong and there are quite a few dishes to choose from. The portion is good and the price is very reasonable. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Not too big but enough to accommodate people. The service is very nice, friendly and the worker recommended us the best dishes to try. Overall a good restaurant to try if you want to find halal food in Chiang rai
We passed by this restaurant by coincidence, and we're looking for a place to eat. We ordered rice with chicken curry, it was well cooked, balanced, flavorful. The family that runs the place are very kind, cheerful and generous. Altogether with food for 2, cola and iced tea we paid 200 Baht which is great value for money. Other person another table ordered Biryani, it looked so yummy so we decide to come back for dinner or next day lunch to try it.
Great food. Oxtail soup is excellent, yellow rice with chicken is great. Chicken curry also, choose between leg and breast.
Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
