Latest Recipe at Le Meridien Chiang Rai Resort
Latest Recipe is the all-day dining restaurant at Le Meridien Chiang Rai Resort, open every day from 6:30am to 10:00pm. It is best known for its breakfast spread, which draws both hotel guests and visitors with a mix of international options and authentic Northern Thai dishes prepared using fresh, organic ingredients. Standout items include a rich Khao Soi with a deeply flavoured soup base, sticky rice, fresh juices, and a rotisserie station — reflecting a thoughtful approach to regional cuisine that sets it apart from a standard hotel buffet. The atmosphere is polished and comfortable, as expected of a Meridien property, and the service is generally attentive. That said, some guests have noted that local dishes lean toward milder, more westernised flavours, which may or may not suit individual tastes. The indoor setting is well-maintained, and the breakfast concept — particularly the Northern Thai menu — has been well received by travellers seeking something more distinctive than a typical hotel morning meal. For practical planning, breakfast runs from 6:30am and is the meal most consistently praised by visitors, making it the best time to dine here. Non-hotel guests are welcome to visit, but it is worth confirming current pricing and availability directly through the restaurant or the Marriott website before making a trip specifically for a meal.

Visitor Reviews
Excellent buffet breakfast spread. Love the fresh juices, and the rotisserie always delicious. Just wish the porridge or congee can be served warmer. The service is superb, very attentive and always with a warm smile. Both the indoor and outdoor seating are very cozy.
Very good breakfast with great variety, especially the authentic Northern Thai menu. Fresh, organic ingredients and a well‑curated concept—clearly a great idea from the chef
had the signature breakfast sets there, the soup base of the Khao Soi was very rich, nice presentation too the sticky rice there is also different from the normal one

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
