Thai Food Good Taste - Chiang Mai
Situated on Rachadamnoen Road at the edge of Chiang Mai's Old City, this well-regarded Thai restaurant draws a loyal following of both locals and travellers with its consistent, flavourful cooking and welcoming atmosphere. Visitor feedback consistently highlights the quality of the food alongside genuinely attentive service, making it a reliable stop for anyone wanting an authentic Thai meal without compromise. The dining experience suits a range of occasions — solo travellers, couples, and small groups all find it a comfortable fit. The food draws repeated praise for bold, satisfying flavours, and the restaurant itself is well-maintained and pleasantly presented. Cocktails are also available for those looking to extend the meal into the evening, and the pricing is widely noted as reasonable for the quality on offer. Good to know: The restaurant opens daily from 11:30 AM through to 11:30 PM, which makes it a practical option for late lunches, early dinners, or meals that stretch into the evening. The kitchen's long hours are particularly useful for travellers working around a busy sightseeing schedule. During peak dinner service the restaurant can get busy and staff stretched, so arriving before 6 PM or after 8 PM tends to make for a more relaxed visit. Visitor Reviews
Sooo delicious!!! The flavor hits so good — one bite and I was like WOW! Definitely coming back for more 💯🔥 : Came back again and was impressed just like before. The restaurant looks even more beautiful now, the menu is well designed, and the staff are extremely friendly. The staff informed us in advance that since the restaurant was very busy, appetizers might be served after the main dishes, which was totally fine. The food was very satisfying, and the service was impressively fast despite how crowded it was. The coconut curry was absolutely delicious. Will definitely come back again!
I can absolutely recommend this restaurant. Whether you're alone, with a partner, or in a small group, it's always a good choice. The food is great, the service is very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. It's also a great place to connect with other travelers - especially in the evening.
Very nice food, not too expensive and service was good all the staff were helpful and pleasant but very busy so weren't as attentive as they could have been

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
