Cat Graffiti Thai food and fried chicken stall
Tucked into the Suthep area of Mueang Chiang Mai District, this no-frills street food stall has built a loyal following among locals and in-the-know visitors for its generous, flavourful spread at some of the most affordable prices in the city. The standout draw is the fried chicken, which regulars consistently praise, alongside a rotating selection of cooked meats and vegetables served over rice. The setup is buffet-style: diners choose a base of either white or purple rice — the purple rice being a popular option for those watching their diet — and then select from a range of dishes piled on top. The atmosphere is casual and authentically local, with the stall attracting predominantly Thai customers, which speaks to the quality and value on offer. Staff are noted for being warm and welcoming, and several visitors have made it a daily stop during their time in Chiang Mai. Good to know: this is a takeaway-oriented street stall rather than a sit-down restaurant, so visitors should come prepared for an informal experience. As one reviewer noted, hygiene standards are typical of street food settings rather than tourist-facing establishments, so those with sensitive stomachs may want to keep that in mind. No website or confirmed opening hours are currently available, so it is worth visiting in the morning, as reviews suggest it is a popular breakfast destination and dishes may sell out as the day progresses.

Visitor Reviews
Probably 1 of the best street food in Chiang Mai. Selling assorted meats and vegetables with rice. A superb delicious fried chicken as well. They have both white and purple rice. Purple rice for those who are more health-conscious as it is healthier. Plenty of ingredients to go over them. Pick your poison here. Super good and super value for it. Fried chicken was probably the best I have ever tasted in thailand. Crispy skin, fragrant oil and tender meat. Yummy best! Not sure what is their operation hours but they are not open on both sunday and monday. Usually opens in the morning til early afternoon i guess. Will definitely be back for more of it.
Cheap, tasty street food you can’t really go wrong with any of the choices. It’s a buffet style arrangement where you get a plate of rice and then can choose as many dishes to go on top as you like. The vendors were very friendly, didn’t seem to be a menu so I just pointed to what I wanted. #BeatTheGrind
Delicious food! Prices are really great and the staff is extremely kind. We eat here at least 1-2x a week. 😋
Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
