Public Market
Tucked into the first floor of the Central Chidlom shopping complex in the Lumphini area of Pathum Wan, Public Market is a stylish, contemporary food court that brings together a diverse spread of dining options under one roof. The space connects two sections of the mall and features a noticeably modern, comfortable environment with generous spacing between tables — a welcome touch for those who prefer a more relaxed dining atmosphere. Visitors can expect a varied selection of stalls and counters covering Thai cuisine, Chinese dishes, café and bakery offerings, and modern European seafood. A live DJ during lunchtime adds an unexpected social energy to the space, making it more than just a quick meal stop. The adjacent Tops Supermarket rounds out the offering with takeaway and dine-in ready-cooked food, ensuring there is something for most tastes and budgets. Reviewers describe it as a premium food court experience, though those seeking Western staples like burgers, pizza, or sushi may find the selection limited. Public Market is open every day from 10:00 to 22:00, making it a reliable option for both lunch and dinner. The location is well-served by parking at either the Chidlom or Embassy areas, and its position within a major shopping complex means it is easily accessible via the BTS Skytrain at Chit Lom station.

You'll never go hungry in Thailand, there's lots of food available everywhere. Curious to try this multiple Michelin awarded crab meat fried rice which i find it quite good.
A Chic food court that serves cafe & bakery, chiness food, Thai food, and modern European seafood! Live DJ during lunch time is a bonus! This place has plenty of social distance between tables. The food price is reasonable considering the location and ambiance!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
