Aree Seafood
Sitting at the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 1 in the Watthana district, Aree Seafood draws both locals and travellers with its straightforward approach to Thai seafood cooking. The menu leans on grilled and steamed preparations that let the quality of the fish, shrimp, and shellfish do the talking, served alongside jasmine rice and traditional Thai condiments. Repeat visitors note the diverse menu and consistent quality, with grilled fish standing out as a highlight. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, making it a comfortable choice for solo diners, couples, and families alike. Prices sit slightly above the neighbourhood average, though most guests find the food quality and attentive service justify the cost. Several visitors have returned multiple times within the same trip, which speaks to the consistency of the kitchen and the warmth of the staff. Practically speaking, the Nana BTS Skytrain station is the most convenient way to reach the restaurant, placing it within easy reach of Sukhumvit's hotels, shopping, and nightlife. The restaurant operates around the clock every day of the week, making it a reliable option for late-night meals or early arrivals after a long journey. Visitor Reviews
I don’t understand how this place only has a 4.1 rating but I suspect prices being slightly above average must be the reason. The atmosphere or quality of food definitely ain’t it and coming back to the prices - maybe read the menu beforehand? This is as fresh as seafood can get, the selection of dishes is unrivalled and you should be able to get a table with much wait. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back…
Food was fantastic. Lovely menu with many options and great ambiance. Went here 3 times in a 6 day trip. Enjoyed each time. Staff was amazing as well.
A fantastic dining experience! The food tasted great, and the grilled fish was a definite highlight for me. They offer a wide variety of excellent seafood and other options on their diverse menu. The restaurant is spacious and airy, which makes for a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff provided good service, and our dishes arrived promptly.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
