Rock Factory
Tucked into the Bua Khao area of Pattaya, Rock Factory has carved out a loyal following as the city's dedicated home for live rock and heavy metal music. Nightly performances from a rotating lineup of bands draw a crowd that genuinely loves the music, and on most nights the house band takes requests — a small tip is the usual way to get a favourite song on the setlist. The venue doubles as a restaurant and event space, with food and drinks available throughout the night. The atmosphere is refreshingly straightforward: no pressure to spend, no table service hustlers, and none of the freelancer scene common in Pattaya's more commercial nightlife strips. Seating spills toward the street, giving guests the option to watch the passing crowd or move closer to the stage for a full-on concert feel. The vibe skews toward classic rock and metal, and the crowd tends to reflect that — relaxed, unpretentious, and there for the music. Drinks are reported as generous pours at mid-range prices. Good to know: Specific opening hours are not listed online, so it is worth confirming locally before making the trip, particularly on weeknights. The venue fills up as the evening progresses, so arriving earlier secures a better seat and a more laid-back experience before the crowd builds. Casual attire is entirely appropriate.

Visitor Reviews
Fun spot to grab a seat on the street to watch passersby, or sit closer to the stage for a great show every night, a good band rotation and many nights they take requests and jam out. They have a full menu with really good food - come solo, on a date, or with friends to watch the show, eat great food, and listen to the rock n roll. Plus Hofbräu on tap.
What a great live band rock and roll theme venue! Went for the first time last night to see the Van Halen Tribute Band Jump. Service was on point, drinks were strong and food was good. Will definitely be back on a regular basis to see great live music and Good Times!
Simply the best place to be if you like rock metal music. The band is really good, you can also request a song with the donation of a small tip. The place gets really crowded as the night progresses. They also have decent food options and the beer is always ice cold.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
