Slinky Bar
Slinky Bar sits right on the Andaman Sea in Ao Nang, Krabi, and has built a reputation as one of the region's liveliest beachfront drinking spots. The venue draws a crowd with its nightly fire shows, where performers put on captivating displays of skill directly on the beach. Beyond the spectacle, the bar is known for its cocktail buckets, a staple of the Thai beach bar scene, and a mechanical bull inside that adds a rowdy, playful edge to the atmosphere. Open from 9am through 2am every day of the week, the venue covers the full spectrum from casual afternoon drinks with ocean views to a full-on late-night party scene. The mid-range pricing keeps things accessible, and the drinks are generally considered good value. The atmosphere shifts considerably throughout the day — relaxed and breezy in the afternoon, then progressively more energetic as the evening crowd builds and the fire show gets underway. Service experiences appear mixed based on visitor feedback, so expectations are worth calibrating. For the best of what Slinky offers, arriving in the early evening allows time to settle in before the fire show begins and the bar reaches peak energy. Beachfront seating includes a mix of indoor and outdoor options, with the outdoor area being the obvious draw for anyone wanting sea air alongside their drinks.

Visitor Reviews
Food: Didn't have Vibe: Amazing Occasion: Paradise for partying, leave all the troubles in the world behind for a few hours Slinky Bar and Freedom Bar are the absolute GOATs of partying in Phi Phi island, I've never seen anything like it. There's fire shows, body painting, platform dancing, mechanical bulls, lounge chairs and speakers blasting with 2000s/2010s nostalgic songs. What else can you ask for? Pro tip: The party is in full force around 11:30pm onwards till 3am. Before that, you can go to Reggae Bar and watch the kickboxing. After that, you can grab a burger at Prime burger Phi Phi.
This bar is famous for its high-quality cocktails and, of course, its fire shows. The fire shows are very beautiful and captivating, and the performers demonstrate impressive and spectacular tricks during the show. If you find yourself on Phi Phi Island, make sure to visit Slinky Bar to watch the fire show.
Fast and quick service for drinks, the fire shows on the beach are great and the buckets alcohol are amazing. Also you can ride a mechanical bull inside which is fun to do!

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
