Carlito's bar
Carlito's Bar is a lively evening venue in Ao Nang that stands out from the typical beachside bar with its regular live entertainment. Fire performers and live musicians are recurring features, creating a more theatrical atmosphere than many competitors along the strip. Light snacks such as fries and nuggets are available, making it a reasonable spot to settle in for the evening rather than just a quick drink stop. The venue draws a mixed crowd of tourists and tends to get busy, with tables filling up as the night progresses. Cocktails are priced at the higher end for the area — reviews note costs around 250 baht per drink — so those on a tighter budget may want to factor this in. The bar has a casual, social energy that suits travellers looking to meet people or simply enjoy an entertaining night out after a day on the beach. Good to know: Arriving early enough to secure a table is advisable, particularly on nights with fire shows or live music, as the venue can fill quickly once entertainment begins. Some visitors have flagged concerns about payment accuracy at the bar, so it is worth keeping track of cash handed over and confirming your change before leaving the counter. As opening hours are not listed publicly, checking locally or asking at your accommodation before heading out is a sensible precaution, especially during quieter periods of the year.

Visitor Reviews
Great bar, one of the best we've been to! Alcohol in a decent price, great fire show and love music. There are things to eat (snacks like fries, nuggets etc.) Highly recommended. Pro tip: get there 30-40 minutes before the fire show starts. It gets crowded!
Had a fun evening here. Large crowd but we got a table to watch the fire show which was interminable but decent enough quality. Then the musician turned up. Good singer and ended up as a karaoke session with some surprisingly good singers in the crowd. Stayed until close as music was played over sound systems. We had a fun evening. Prices okish.
Live music is good. Location is good But the cocktails way to expensive. The cocktails taste not good and have no decorations. Look like out of a can and put just in a glass. Here the cocktails is 250 Baht and had much bettet ones for 99 Baht. I am not a Cheap Charly but what feeling is it to be at nice location with good music and drink not tasty overpriced cocktails. Sorry.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
