Samui Coconut Soap
Tucked away in the Bo Put area of Koh Samui, this family-run operation combines a working soap factory with a retail shop, giving visitors a genuine look at how all-natural coconut-based soaps and beauty products are made from scratch. The entire range is handmade and crafted from natural ingredients, and the on-site shop stocks a wide variety of products that go well beyond soap alone — making it a worthwhile stop for those looking to bring home something locally made and meaningful. One of the standout features is the soap-making demonstration and workshop, led by a knowledgeable staff member named Mike, who has been highlighted by multiple visitors for his expertise and warm approach. Whether dropping in to browse or signing up to learn the craft hands-on, guests tend to leave with a strong appreciation for the care and knowledge that goes into each product. The atmosphere is welcoming and unhurried, with staff happy to guide visitors through the range. The shop is open seven days a week, with weekday and Saturday hours running from 08:00 to 19:00, while Sunday hours begin later at 12:00. Those keen to take part in a soap-making session would do well to contact the shop in advance via the official website to confirm workshop availability. A second retail location exists in the Lamai area for those staying on that side of the island.

Visitor Reviews
These products are exceptional. We have used them for years. Normally I buy in the Lamai shop but today I visited the factory show which was very nice inside and a seemingly endless amount other products I have not seen before. You may think the prices can be a bit high but you find nothing else like this in Europe or elsewhere and without the nasty chemical we try to avoid. When you come to Samui you must visit here. Coconuts are part of samui’s culture.
Perfekte Beratung mit Maik ! His English is just perfect and he is by far the kindest person in a shop I got to meet To be honest it’s a great experience to get when you want to see something else than just beach because who wanna do the same as everyone so just listen to that: I say it’s a must do!🙏🏻
Very nice shop with an amazing atmosphere. We also were present during the soap making demonstration, thanks Mike for the great explanation! It’s nice to see these kind of family runs businesses on koh samui. It’s a really special place!

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
