Ruamchok Mall
Ruamchok Mall is a well-established local market and shopping centre in Chiang Mai's Fa Ham district, popular with resident expats, locals, and visitors who want an authentic, non-touristy shopping experience. Unlike the city's more visitor-oriented night markets, this is a place where Chiang Mai residents genuinely do their weekly shopping, which keeps prices fair and the atmosphere grounded. The market side of Ruamchok is a particular draw, with a fresh produce section noted for its cleanliness and broad selection of fruits, vegetables, and ingredients spanning a wide range of cuisines. Food stalls offer local staples including soya bean milk and dough fritters in the mornings, and the surrounding area features international restaurants and specialty grocery options that cater to diverse tastes. The venue has a practical, everyday energy rather than a curated tourist feel, which many visitors find refreshing. Good to know: Ruamchok opens at 7am every day of the week, making it a solid early-morning stop for breakfast, fresh groceries, or cooking class market tours, which occasionally visit the site. Free parking is available on-site, and the location is straightforward to reach by local transport. Visitors planning a cooking class or self-catering stay in Chiang Mai will find the fresh produce market especially useful.

Visitor Reviews
This is the place most serious expatriates spend their time and money. It’s not a tourist attraction per sa, but more of an international shopping center that caters to every ethnic group that likes to call Chiang Mai, home. Europeans, North Americans, Koreans, Chinese, And Thais! Thais love the international venue here and pack the place on Monday and Tuesday market nights,. Most of this post consists of photos of the overall shopping center and interior shots of Rimping supermarket which is the anchor store of the whole center. There is really too many things to mention in one post. More to come...
Has been a while since my previous visit, a lot of new additions, pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the fresh produce market. Great selection of things, clean, extremely polite and friendly vendors, had a great experience! Also quite enjoyable were the food stalls and vendors outside the market, along the footpath, offering so many delicacies, snacks, and many tasty things to try. Good fun!
We have been here for many times, this place located among international restaurants and ingredients. Don't worry about parking area there's always available. Good place and standard price.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
