Night Market, Big C Extra
This small, unpretentious night market operates behind the Big C Extra superstore in the Nong Pa Khrang area, running Thursday through Saturday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It draws a predominantly local crowd rather than tourists, which gives it an authentic, everyday character rarely found at Chiang Mai's better-known markets. The focus is firmly on food, with vendors selling cooked dishes, seafood omelettes, fried chicken, fresh vegetables, fruits, and drinks, alongside a smaller selection of clothing and general merchandise. Visitors should come with realistic expectations: this is a neighbourhood market, not a large tourist bazaar. Stalls are mainly geared toward takeaway, seating is limited, and the range of goods is modest. That said, food prices are notably low and the atmosphere offers a genuine glimpse into how local residents shop and eat in the evenings. Reviewers highlight the cooked food as the main draw, with the fried chicken stall near the entrance earning particular praise. Good to know: Cash is strongly recommended, as most vendors are unlikely to accept card payments. The Big C Extra location means parking is readily accessible for those arriving by car or motorbike. Because this market skews heavily local, visitors who prefer familiar or international food options may find the selection limited, but those curious about everyday Thai street food will find it well worth a stop.

Also another has seafood omalets amd as usual the price is right. You can also shop for new amd used Items which are priced very reasonably. You cant go wrong, also great buys for souvenirs or get your nails done. Always a surprise.
It’s just a small night market that’s open from Wednesday to Sunday. There aren’t many stuffs, and the food isn’t very clean. However, it’s pretty close to my home , I still give it 5 stars😁😁
We found this market when we went shopping at the Big C Supercentre. There's a mix of food stalls, and stalls selling other items. Most food stalls offered takeaway - a lot of locals were buying takeaway. We grazed our way through sour sausage, grilled pork, fish cakes, finishing with coconut pancakes for dessert. We were well fed for under 200฿ There's very little seating here - the market is more set up for takeaway. Worth a visit if you're there when it's open.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
