Note the open and closed days and times! A very nice market in Bangkok, not too far from Suan Luang Rama 9 park. Getting here is trickier than other markets like Chatuchak. We went to BTS Udom Suk and got a taxi to the park first, then later on in the afternoon got motorbike taxis to the market. This market is much more spacious than Chatuchak and feels much more relaxed, except the food area which was buzzing 😃 There is a great variety to eat. I think the focus here is more on second hand goods, clothing and shoes, and vintage stuff but they also have new stuff and toys. There are also bigger more permanent buildings with shops to get tattoos for example. There's also a small vintage car and motorbike display which was cool to see. Just be sure to explore properly, when we were dropped off here we were disappointed at first because it seemed like half the market was closed, and we almost went home. But walking further back to the aeroplane and vintage car section, it opened up into a huge market! Make sure you leave enough time to get back to BTS so you don't miss the last trains. We literally got the last train at about 23:40 because a lot of people want to get taxis and Grab at this time.
One of my absolute favorite night markets in Bangkok. The atmosphere here is just perfect fewer tourists and a lot more locals, hanging out, eating, and enjoying the evening. You really feel the real Bangkok vibe here. There’s tons of food, from classic Thai street dishes to creative little snacks it’s the kind of place where you just keep tasting everything. Add live music, small cozy bars, and lots of second-hand corners, and it becomes the perfect mix. What makes it special are the old cars, vintage décor, and real flea-market finds instead of cheap souvenir stuff you often see elsewhere. Everything feels a bit improvised, but that’s exactly the charm of it. It’s a wonderful combination of food, music, nostalgia, and local life. If you want to experience Bangkok beyond the touristy markets, this is definitely the place. Best time to visit: Friday or Saturday night, when everything is fully alive. 👉 In short: authentic, lively, and full of character. A must-see for anyone who wants to feel the real Bangkok.
Train Night Market was the perfect night out and exactly what we were hoping for. The vintage shopping alone is next level — incredible finds everywhere. I picked up Louis Vuitton shoes valued around $1,800 AUD for just $80, and also scored a pair of Bottega Veneta boots for $150 that retail for well over $1,000. They even cleaned them up on the spot so they looked near perfect, which was such a nice touch. Food-wise, it absolutely delivered. We shared a juicy, indulgent cheeseburger from the stand right at the entrance, then moved on to a bowl of rich red chicken noodles that were full of flavour. We finished the night at Bogie Drink with a drink in hand, listening to live music and soaking up the atmosphere. What really made the night was how relaxed it felt. Lively but not overcrowded, full of character without being chaotic. Amazing shopping, great food, live music, and prices that make it feel like a win across the board. A genuinely perfect, affordable night out that ticked every box for us.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
