King Power
King Power is a duty-free shopping centre located near Don Mueang Airport in northern Bangkok, serving international travellers looking to pick up cosmetics, fragrances, clothing, electronics, and spirits before or after their flights. Its round-the-clock opening hours make it a convenient stop regardless of departure time, and its size means it carries a broader selection than smaller airport duty-free outlets along the departure hall. Visitors can expect a modern, well-stocked retail environment with a strong focus on cosmetics and fragrance counters. Pricing on certain categories is competitive, though reviews suggest that duty-free liquor in particular is not always the bargain travellers might expect compared to other outlets. The cosmetics and fragrance selection is generally considered the strongest draw here. A few practical points worth noting: carry your passport and flight documentation, as duty-free purchases require proof of international travel. Service quality has received mixed feedback from visitors, so patience at busy counters is advisable. The location on Thanon Vibhavadi Rangsit places it squarely in the Don Mueang area, making it most practical for those flying from Don Mueang Airport or on a layover, rather than travellers based near central Bangkok or Suvarnabhumi Airport. Factor in travel time if coming from the city centre.

👍
2024 Here again for layover. 2023 Seems like there are many King Power duty free shops along the departure hall but this is the biggest selling cosmetics and fragrance here though not all are cheaper. Laneige lip mask is definitely cheaper! Shop selling liqour is at other area of the hall.
Great duty free outlet Liquor not as many as other airport

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
