Sleep Like A Baby Pattaya
Tucked away from Pattaya's busier strips on Thanon Thep Prasit, Sleep Like A Baby is a well-regarded hostel that draws travellers looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a quieter base in the city. The property is run by a welcoming couple, giving it a distinctly homely feel that sets it apart from more impersonal budget accommodation. The hostel cat, Oscar, has earned his own reputation among guests. Rooms feature beds with privacy curtains, air conditioning, and clean shared bathrooms stocked with soap and shampoo. A shared kitchen allows guests to prepare their own meals, and laundry service is available on site. The common areas provide space to unwind, and the overall environment is described by visitors as calm and quiet. The location works well for those who prefer easy access to everyday amenities without being in the thick of the nightlife scene — a large shopping mall, a night market, and numerous restaurants and food stalls are all within walking distance. As with many hostels in Thailand, Sleep Like A Baby suits solo travellers and budget-conscious visitors who prioritise a clean, sociable environment over hotel-style privacy. Prospective guests should note that it is a hostel with shared facilities, so those seeking full room privacy may want to factor this in when booking. Given its small size and strong reputation, booking ahead is advisable, particularly during peak travel periods around November through February.

Visitor Reviews
Best stay in Pattaya so far! The Location: Perfectly situated within walking distance to the mall and surrounded by endless places to eat. The night market is just a stone’s throw away—ideal for that 10 PM snack run. The Hostel: It has everything you actually need—incredible AC, fast Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities. There’s a great common cooking area and a fridge to store all those night market leftovers you’ll inevitably buy. Plus, with plenty of washrooms and multiple showers, you never have to wait. The Vibe: You can relax on the outdoor patio or even chill under the pool table. It’s clean, convenient, and yes—the beds really do make you sleep like a baby. The Real Stars: Best of all are the two resident cats. They basically run the place and are the best welcoming committee you could ask for. My stay wouldn't have been the same without them! 10/10.
This is the best hostel in Pattaya I have stayed so far. The rooms are really comfortable and cozy. The beds have curtains which adds a lot of privacy. Also, the architecture of the hostel is very cute. It's not huge. Like a tiny comfortable nest. If you want to do loud parties, I think this isn't the best place. But if you want to, as the name suggests, sleep like a baby, at the end of a tiresome day, this is the place to be. (Suggestion : there's an awesome night market in walking distance. Do visit that for sure. Also, just keep in mind that this hostel isn't walking distance from beach. So, you will need to do a grab to go to the beach.)
I went to Pattaya on a whim, so I had arrived quite late. I really enjoy this hostel, it's away from the action but that is perfect for me. It's more of a homely feel and Oscar the cat is literally the most precious cat in all of Asia. I booked a second night just to squeeze him. It's walking distance to a really nice night market, it's a long walk to the beach but scooters are available to rent. I booked a private room, bed was comfortable and it had AC.
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
