Nestled in the Mae Rim district just outside Chiang Mai, Raya Heritage is a boutique luxury resort that distinguishes itself through a strong sense of place and cohesive design. The property's aesthetic identity runs through every detail — from the furniture and uniforms to the cutlery and gift shop — creating an atmosphere that feels considered and intentional rather than generic. The grounds are well-maintained and lend the property a calm, retreat-like quality that sets it apart from larger city-centre hotels. Guests can expect generously sized rooms with covered terraces, exceptionally comfortable beds, and high standards of cleanliness throughout. On-site facilities include a restaurant, swimming pool, and spa. The staff receives consistent praise for attentive, personalised service — several guests highlight specific team members who went out of their way to assist with transport logistics and local arrangements, making it particularly well-suited to travellers who value genuine hospitality over a transactional hotel experience. As a smaller boutique property located outside the city centre in Tambon Don Kaeo, Raya Heritage suits those looking for a quieter, more immersive stay rather than convenient walking access to Chiang Mai's Old City. Guests planning day trips or excursions into the city are advised to arrange transport in advance — the front desk team is well-regarded for helping coordinate exactly this. Booking directly through the hotel's website is worth exploring for availability and package options.

Visitor Reviews
Raya Heritage is a lovely, small boutique hotel that offers a calm and comfortable stay. The rooms are very clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. What truly stands out is the staff — they are amazing, extremely helpful, and always warm and welcoming, which really enhances the overall experience. The only small downside was on Christmas Eve, when room service was closed. It would have been helpful to be informed of this in advance, as it meant we had to go out to get lunch unexpectedly. Overall, it’s a very good hotel with outstanding staff, and I would happily recommend it to others looking for a peaceful and high-quality stay.
The Raya Heritage is an amazing property. The property has its own personality and design theme that gets incorporated into everything, including the cutlery, the uniforms, the furniture, and the gifts. The nicest thing about Raya is the staff. Everyone here was beyond nice and accommodating. They paid attention to small details about our stay, including our plans for the day. They helped us plan a local event and handled the details for it seamlessly. There were so many small things that they do for us! The property is about 20-30 mins drive from the old city and the airport but there was rarely much traffic and Grabs were easy to call. We didn’t explore the area around the property but it did not seem like there was too much interesting for tourists to do within walking distance. They have shuttles to / from the old city throughout the day. The food and the coffee especially at the hotel were amazing. Very high quality and unique dishes / flavors. The in room dining was great as well. The massages are a bit on the pricier side but are high quality. Overall this is a great place to stay if you want a hotel that is quiet, aesthetically pleasing, has massage options and good food onsite, and do not want to be in the middle of all of the action.
We had an amazing few days at the Raya Heritage. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably clean! Rooms are very very spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. A small complaint was that the AC was a bit nosey. The mini bar/ snacks were also outside/ on the balcony which was a bit strange but again not a big issue. We got a top floor room but the view of the river was somewhat obstructed by the trees and roof but that didn’t bother us. We were given the pool option but we were unlikely to use it so opted for the top floor. The hotel is 20-25 mins cab ride out of old town but never had an issue getting a Grab. It is nestled amongst a local area so you do get some noise during the day across the river but nothing unpleasant. The stand out for us were the staff. They were all so lovely and warm. Every time we met any of them they all remembered us and referred to us by name. Such a personal service. Big shout out for the breakfast too - it was a la carte service and immaculate. All the items we tried were very high quality and delicious. So much better than the monster generic buffets you get at other hotels. If we return to Chiang Mai this is the only hotel we will be staying at!
