137 Pillars House Chiang Mai
Compare prices
Set within beautifully preserved British colonial-era buildings surrounded by quiet, lush grounds in the Chang Moi district of Chiang Mai, 137 Pillars House is a boutique heritage hotel that offers a distinctive sense of place rarely found in the city. The property holds a Michelin Key recognition and draws guests seeking a slower, more considered style of luxury, with an atmosphere that feels genuinely secluded despite being within reach of central Chiang Mai. Guests can expect polished, well-appointed rooms alongside two on-site restaurants, a bar, and a spa offering massage treatments. Staff attentiveness appears to be a highlight for many visitors, with the concierge team frequently praised for personalised recommendations and arrangements that go beyond the standard. The colonial architecture and mature garden setting have also drawn admiration from visitors who explored the grounds without staying, suggesting the property holds visual appeal well beyond its rooms. As with any boutique property at this level, experiences can vary depending on the time of visit and staffing, so prospective guests are advised to confirm dining reservations directly with the hotel, as the restaurant has received occasional mixed feedback on service. Advance booking is recommended, particularly during Chiang Mai's peak season between November and February when demand across the city's top accommodation is high.

Visitor Reviews
Our stay at 137 Pillars House was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived and were warmly greeted by Anne, the General Manager, we immediately felt like we were somewhere truly special. A huge thank you to Tuck, our dedicated host through the butler service. She was phenomenal—warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made wonderful recommendations throughout the city and seamlessly arranged multiple massages and facials for us, both on the property and in Old City. Her care and attention to detail elevated our experience in every way. The property itself is peaceful and serene, yet somehow tucked right in the middle of everything. The grounds are lush and quiet, and the views—especially in the evening—are absolutely stunning. Our suite was gorgeous, featuring a spacious bathroom, a private outdoor shower, and a generous outdoor lounge area perfectly shaded from the sun. It felt both luxurious and deeply relaxing. The location couldn’t be more convenient: just a 15–20 minute walk to the main markets, or a quick taxi/tuk-tuk ride to temples and attractions a bit farther out. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and every staff member we encountered was kind, courteous, and genuinely welcoming. 137 Pillars House is truly a sanctuary, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We left feeling rested, cared for, and eager to return.
I didn't stay this luxury accommodation, just visit to ask show inside when I closed by because it was so wonderful British heritage buildings soroundings quiet forest. The concierge guided me around mansion with generosity. It was amazing moment as if I were Kaiser. Gorgeous garden took me Victorian era. Manager Anne from UK explained its history with polite with wonderful smile. All stuffs have amazing hospitality. I could touch only a part of them. I hope to stay here with my family near future.
We had a great time in this peaceful and quiet place ! But the greatest is Toto, he was so helpful during our stay, he had the best advices for bars and restaurants but also booked for us and made sure everything was right. After we left the hotel, we needed help for the rest of our trip (Krabi, Phuket, etc.) and Toto was still available to help us (and save us), he is incredibly kind, I don’t know how to thank him but we were so lucky :) Thank you again Toto 🥰
