Bangkok Rama Hotel
Compare prices
Located on Pattanakarn Road in the Suan Luang district, Bangkok Rama Hotel offers an unusually residential feel compared to typical Bangkok accommodation. The property is laid out across a neighbourhood-style compound, with single-storey studio apartments rather than a conventional multi-floor hotel block. Guests are transported to their rooms by golf cart after check-in, giving arrivals a distinctive, unhurried welcome. Free breakfast and an outdoor swimming pool are included, and the overall atmosphere leans relaxed and informal rather than polished or corporate. The rooms function more like self-contained studio apartments, which suits travellers looking for space and a degree of privacy. Reviewers note the grounds have a quiet, almost home-like character, though some guests have flagged concerns about maintenance standards and cleanliness, so expectations should be set accordingly. Dining options in the immediate neighbourhood are limited, and at least one reviewer mentioned walking some distance to find a suitable restaurant, so it is worth planning meals in advance or checking the on-site restaurant hours before arrival. Practically speaking, the hotel's location roughly ten minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport makes it a convenient base for early departures or late arrivals. It suits budget-conscious travellers or those seeking a low-key alternative to central Bangkok hotels, but those prioritising modern finishes or a lively surrounding area may want to consider other options. Checking the hotel's website directly for current rates and room availability is recommended before booking.

a wonderful hotel with super friendly staff, the local houses have absolutely all the amenities and also have a swimming pool which is very cool, you are taken by golf cart to your room after check-in which already creates a wow impression, I highly recommend this place
It was all lovely ! I would definitely visit again. It is like a small vacation home, in a neighborhood, and you share a house with another room. They are all old people though, and a bunch of cats. Really lovely. You are allowed to smoke on your porch with the grannies and grandpas. Amazing. Downside is, you need a vechile, because your room is quite a walk, from the lobby. It is a really quiet garden, in a soi near the main road, with a 7-eleven, 2 minutes away. I didn't see any cockroaches, incects, missing cups, or wifi problems. The room was really clean and the service was really nice and standard. Maybe the hot shower is a little broken in some of the rooms (?). Really happy about the price I paid. 800 baht/night. Soft comfortable pillows and bed. :) However, they require an ID or a 1,000 baht deposit for the keycard. The antemities are really a plus for the price, but unfortunately the pool was unusable during the time I visited. 4 stars overall. I wouldn't worry. You're in the right hands. Yay
The rooms are like studio apartments. There is only 1 level and its big, but they have a golf cart to take you to your room. The pool was good too. I had to walk about a kilometer to find a good restaurant. The service was good too. Not an "excellent" hotel, but good for the price.
