Visitor Reviews
Phi Phi Island is honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Thailand. The moment we reached, the first thing that caught my attention was the crystal clear turquoise water so clean and transparent that you can literally see fish swimming near the shore. The natural beauty here feels straight out of a postcard. The beaches are stunning with soft white sand and calm water, perfect for swimming and relaxing. Many people were enjoying snorkeling, swimming, and just chilling by the beach. The scenic limestone cliffs surrounding the island make the whole place look even more magical. There are plenty of small cafes, beach bars, and local shops around the main walking area. One thing to note prices in Phi Phi are slightly higher compared to Phuket markets, especially for drinks, snacks, and souvenirs. So it’s a good idea to carry essentials like sunscreen or small items beforehand. But considering it’s an island destination, the pricing is understandable. The vibe of the island is very lively yet relaxing at the same time. During the day, it’s peaceful and scenic, and by evening, the island becomes more energetic with beachside restaurants and music. The walking streets are compact and easy to explore. Overall, Phi Phi Island is a must-visit if you’re in Thailand. Whether you’re going for a day trip or staying overnight, the beauty of the water and natural surroundings makes it totally worth it. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip!
Phi Phi Island is one of the most stunning and vibrant destinations in Thailand, offering a perfect mix of crystal-clear waters, dramatic cliffs, and lively island vibes. The moment you reach Phi Phi, the beauty of the turquoise sea and the iconic limestone formations instantly grab your attention. The island is full of energy — from beachside cafés and shops to travelers exploring every corner. Snorkeling here is an absolute highlight, with colorful corals and plenty of marine life visible even in shallow waters. Whether you want to relax on the beach, swim in clear waters, or walk around the charming lanes filled with food, souvenirs, and music, Phi Phi has something for everyone. The viewpoints offer breathtaking scenery, especially during sunrise or sunset. Boat tours around the island make the experience even better. Overall, Phi Phi Island is a paradise — lively, scenic, and unforgettable. A must-visit spot when traveling to Thailand.
A visit to Phi Phi Islands feels like stepping into a postcard. The view is simply breathtaking — crystal-clear turquoise water blending perfectly with towering limestone cliffs and lush greenery all around. Every angle looks like a perfect photograph. The beaches are incredibly beautiful, with soft white sand and calm, transparent water that lets you see straight to the bottom. Whether you are relaxing by the shore, taking a boat ride, or snorkeling nearby, the natural beauty never fails to impress. What stood out the most was the cleanliness. Despite being a popular destination, the beach areas are well maintained, and the water remains remarkably clear. It adds so much to the overall experience and makes the place even more enjoyable. Phi Phi is truly one of the most stunning destinations in Thailand and absolutely worth visiting at least once in a lifetime.
Tips for Visiting Beaches & Islands
Check Monsoon Seasons
The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) has rough seas from May to October. The Gulf coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) is roughest from October to December. Plan your island-hopping around these windows.
Snorkel Gear Is Cheap to Buy
Rental gear is often scratched and ill-fitting. Buy a decent mask and snorkel at a Tesco Lotus or Big C for 300–500 THB — cheaper than two days of rentals and much more hygienic.
Book Ferries on 12Go.Asia
The 12Go platform lets you compare ferry operators, times, and prices between islands. Book a day or two ahead in high season. Avoid the cheapest operators if reviews mention safety concerns.
