Sirinat National Park
Sirinat National Park occupies a stretch of Phuket's northwest coastline, protecting a mix of white-sand beaches, mangrove forests, and coastal ecosystems. One of its quirks is its proximity to Phuket International Airport, meaning visitors can watch aircraft descend at close range while sitting on the beach — a surprisingly popular draw. A small fishing fleet operates nearby, and a morning market occasionally sets up along the waterfront, giving the area a local character beyond typical beach tourism. Visitors can expect a relatively quiet beach with clear water and a casual, unhurried atmosphere. A restaurant and sunbed rentals are available on site, though reviewers frequently flag the sunbed pricing as significantly overpriced — bringing your own towel or beach mat is strongly recommended. The park has a designated beach area and surrounding natural scenery, but it is a modest attraction in scale, and expectations should be set accordingly rather than anticipating a feature-rich nature reserve. The official entrance fee is 200 baht for foreign visitors and applies during standard opening hours, which run daily from 08:30 to 16:30. Some visitors note that arriving before 08:00 or after 16:00 may allow access without the entry charge, though this is not guaranteed. The park is managed by Thailand's Department of National Parks, and reviews suggest the experience can vary depending on the day. Checking the park's Facebook page before visiting for any updates on conditions or closures is advisable.

Visitor Reviews
beautiful park on the beach! the trees are amazing. if you get there before 8am or after 4pm you don't have to pay the 200 bhat entrance fee. the beach off to the right is nicer and you can watch the planes land at the airport
Quiet beach with a small fishing fleet that has a morning market It’s in the national Park, so sometimes they’ll be people trying to charge you to get in
it a nice small bay with sandy beach and clear water. It has a restaurant for food, and way over priced sunbeds for rent. Bring your beach towel as rental price for a sunbed are ridiculous, $50 for 1-bed! Also note to come early, due to the small size beach it will quickly get overcrowded by noon.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
