Anana Ecological Resort Krabi

4.6(1,488 reviews)

Anana Ecological Resort sits in the Ao Nang area of Krabi, blending ecological principles with resort-style comfort. The property offers a range of accommodation options, including spacious Thai Studios and adults-only suites with private pools, making it a practical choice for couples and travellers seeking a quieter base away from the busier parts of Ao Nang. An on-site spa, a well-regarded restaurant, and a highly rated breakfast spread with broad menu variety round out the main amenities. Guests consistently highlight the warmth of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the appealing visual aesthetic of the grounds. The resort's position slightly removed from the main Ao Nang strip gives it a noticeably calmer atmosphere, while a regular hourly shuttle service keeps the beach town and its restaurants, shops, and boat piers within easy reach. The on-site spa adds a dedicated wellness dimension for those wanting treatments alongside their stay. On the practical side, the resort is accessible by road from both Krabi Town and Krabi International Airport, which is roughly 25 kilometres away. November through February offers the most comfortable conditions, with lower humidity and reduced rainfall — ideal for making the most of outdoor areas and the pool. Prospective guests should book directly or through reputable channels and verify current nightly rates carefully, as pricing can vary significantly by season; some reviewers note the experience is best valued at mid-range rates rather than peak pricing.

Visitor Reviews

This was such an amazing hotel in every way, there is a wonderful spa on site as well as a great restaurant and breakfast in the morning. The rooms are clean, comfy and the visual aesthetic is appealing. What makes this hotel 5 stars is the service and attitudes of the staff members. They are all so lovely and welcoming but I have to mention Hassan in particular, who genuinely went above and beyond with making sure we had what we needed and giving us the biggest smile every time we spoke to him. His attitude is incredible! We would love to come back.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a Thai Studio which was clean and spacious enough for the two of us. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices for all tastes. We also had a great time at the pool, especially at Happy Hour. The Shuttle to the beach was always punctual and very handy, as the hotel is a little off the beaten path, what we wanted. We also want to mention the super friendly staff everywhere at the hotel, from the reception, to breakfast, to the bars and shuttle. Thanks for this great stay.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. It was really nice being a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang, but the hourly shuttle is super convenient getting to and from. The breakfast is also delicious! Was one of my favorites from all the hotels we stayed while in Thailand. Our room was stunning, I loved the swim up pool. Very spacious in the room, and a comfortable bed. Would absolutely stay here again when I come back!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas

Learn Wat Pho First

Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.

Communicate Pressure Preferences

Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.

Book Longer Sessions

A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
