Six Senses Samui
Perched on the rocky headland of Koh Samui's Bo Put coast, Six Senses Samui is a clifftop resort and spa destination that draws guests seeking a genuine retreat from everyday life. Private pool villas overlook the Gulf of Thailand, and the property's design leans into its natural setting — tiered into the landscape rather than built over it. The combination of seclusion, sea views, and a comprehensive wellness programme makes it a destination in its own right rather than simply a base for exploring the island. Guests can expect personalised wellness programmes, traditional and contemporary spa treatments, and a strong emphasis on whole-stay wellbeing rather than a single spa visit. Dining is a genuine highlight, with visitors frequently praising the Thai food at dinner and the breakfast spread in particular. Each guest is assigned a personal host — known here as a GEM (Guest Experience Maker) — who manages requests and helps tailor the stay throughout. Reviewers consistently describe the property as easy to settle into for an extended stay without feeling any pull to leave. Good to know: Six Senses Samui functions primarily as a resort rather than a day-visit spa, so it suits travellers planning a dedicated stay rather than those looking to drop in for a single treatment. Advance booking is strongly recommended, particularly for wellness programmes and specific villa categories. The cool season between November and February offers the most comfortable conditions for outdoor activities, though the resort operates year-round.

Visitor Reviews
We loved our stay at the Six Senses Samui and would love to go back. You could easily spend a week here without having the urge to leave the resort premises. The highlights for us were the variety of common areas. We'd start the day by our pool in the villa, move down to the beach around lunch time and end the day by the fantastic infinity pool with an amazing sunset. The food at the main restaurant was amazing, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tastes, offering and the quality of produce was truly outstanding. Lunch at the beach and by the pool were also great. We were not as impressed with Dining on the rocks which is the more fine dining restaurant. We stayed in a hideaway villa, and loved both the interior and exterior. We even had a supernice view which we did not expect given the room category we had chosen. The staff are all super welcoming, friendly and attentative. The only downside of the resort would be all the stairs, which were not fully ideal when travelling with a baby in a stroller. But the staff were again super helpful and accommodating.
Came here for part of our honeymoon and truly didn’t want to leave. The service was amazing, the food (specifically the Thai food you could find at dinner and the breakfast) was sooo good, and the staff went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. The room was gorgeous and spacious. The main infinity pool looks straight into the ocean, and you could see the most beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed a meal at “dining on the edge” for one of the nights. They accommodated our dietary restrictions and we had a truly delicious private dinner. I don’t remember our waitress’ name but she deserves all the praise. She was sweet and friendly. The vantage point from the table was once in a lifetime. I could’ve eaten there every night. On top of all that there is a lovely farm on the property with goats, ducks, and chickens. We visited every day and even picked our own eggs for breakfast one morning. I would recommend SS Samui to anyone who truly enjoys peace and nature.
Six Senses Samui was absolutely out of this world! A huge thank you to our GEM, Noom—he was so kind and went above and beyond with our every request. His positive energy was contagious, and it’s something we actually took home with us. Six Senses should be super proud to have staff like him! Honestly, the entire team was amazing; everyone we interacted with was smiling, upbeat, and provided high-quality service. We loved the main pool, it was so relaxing. The gym is also a nice size with great equipment. As for our villa—it was a dream. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, the private pool was perfect for chilling, and we loved the huge bath and outdoor showers. Lastly, the food was to die for. Breakfast had so many options, pool and room service was delicious. I highly recommend Six Senses Samui and cannot wait to be back!"

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
