Caring spa and massageแคริ่งสปาแอนด์มาสสาจ
Tucked along Pakprak Road in the Ban Nuea area of Kanchanaburi town, this spa stands out for the calibre of its lead therapist, known to guests as Anne or Ammy, who trained in Singapore and brings a distinctive blend of Thai and Chinese massage techniques to her practice. That cross-cultural training is evident in her use of elbow work and a notably intuitive approach to identifying tension and physical issues that clients may not even be aware of themselves. The walls of the shop are lined with certificates reflecting that professional background. Visitors can expect a clean, peaceful environment with a broad treatment menu that includes traditional Thai massage, oil massage, and body scrubs. The team is described by guests as friendly and professional, and the owner's fluency in English makes the experience particularly accessible for international travellers who want to communicate specific needs or preferences during a session. Caring Spa and Massage is open every day of the week from 09:30 to 21:30, making it easy to fit around a busy sightseeing schedule in Kanchanaburi. Given the owner's reputation and the small scale of the operation, booking ahead via their Facebook page is advisable, especially during weekends or peak travel periods, to avoid disappointment.

Visitor Reviews
The owner Ammy is very professional and speaks perfect english as she lived in Singapore for a long time before moving back here. I have been here twice already in 3 days since I arrived in Kanchanaburi. The massage shop is located near the Friday night market and near the JEATH museum. There are other shops along the street and this is clearly sign posted. Ammy takes pride in her work and did a fantastic job with massaging me and doing the stomach candle detox treatment which helped relieve stomach wind and gas. The shop is clean and there is a toilet for customer use which has toilet paper and soap. The massage bed is comfortable and she does a strong massage and knows the exact pressure points and can do the cracking on your sides if you request for it. No hidden agendas and fixed prices. I brought my friend along for my second visit and the staff do not bug you for tips. If you want an affordable massage with staff who speak english well, this is the place you should go.
I’ve had a lot of massages and this was up there with the best of them. Jan identified some very deep tension in my quads which had unknowingly been causing me pain elsewhere. She was very intuitive and skilful and although I was tired the next day I could feel it’s had helped me a great deal. Anne the owner is so kind, too. She even gave me a bunch of bananas to take home. Would highly recommend booking a session in with Jan if you’re in town.
Kuhn Anne is an amazing masseuse, initially trained in Singapore. Her style of Thai massage therefore carries a hint of Chinese massage elements (elbow usage, etc.) Her shop wall is covered in many various massage certifications from both Singapore & Thailand, and her amazing massage service reflects that expertise!

Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
