Na Nirand Resort
Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort sits along Charoen Prathet Road in central Chiang Mai, offering a calm and elegantly designed retreat that blends traditional northern Thai architecture with modern comfort. The resort is set within beautifully maintained grounds that create an immediate sense of arrival and escape, making it a strong choice for couples or travellers prioritising atmosphere alongside convenience. Guests consistently highlight the quality of service, the thoughtfully decorated rooms, and the serene environment as standout features. The architecture draws on traditional design elements while keeping interiors contemporary, and the overall experience leans toward intimacy rather than scale — this is a small, boutique property rather than a large resort complex. Breakfast receives positive mentions for both selection and setting, and the dining experience reflects the same attention to detail found throughout the property. The resort also hosts special events, including seasonal gala dinners, which add a memorable dimension for guests visiting during festive periods. Good to know: The resort's size means room availability fills quickly, particularly between November and February during Chiang Mai's peak season, so advance booking is strongly recommended. The central location on Charoen Prathet Road places guests within easy reach of the Night Bazaar, the Ping River, and a range of local restaurants and temples. Travellers sensitive to firm mattresses may want to request preferences at the time of booking, as some guests note beds on the firmer side.

Visitor Reviews
A truly beautiful and relaxing stay. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. The architecture blends traditional charm with modern comfort, surrounded by nature and peaceful greenery that instantly makes you slow down and breathe. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with soft lighting and warm details that made it feel cozy yet refined. Every corner felt intentional and serene — perfect for rest and relaxation. The outdoor spaces were just as lovely, whether during the day under the trees or at night with soft lights creating a romantic atmosphere. The service was warm and attentive, making the entire experience feel personal and welcoming. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway, a romantic escape, or anyone looking to relax in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Highly recommended — we would love to come back again 🤍
Our stay at Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the breathtaking beauty of the grounds. What truly sets this resort apart, however, is the incredible staff. Their warmth and attention to detail are world-class. A special highlight was how they handled my husband’s birthday; even though his actual birthday was a few days after our arrival, they had a beautiful birthday cake ready and waiting to celebrate. It’s those thoughtful, personal touches that turn a great vacation into an unforgettable memory. The accommodation was stunning, blending traditional charm with modern luxury, and the service was consistently friendly and professional. If you are looking for an intimate, high-end escape in Chiang Mai with staff that genuinely cares about your experience, look no further.
This is a beautiful and thoughtfully run boutique hotel. Below are the pros and cons, as well as some suggestions for improvement. ✅Pros Good breakfast selection. The dining environment and service are excellent. It’s comfortable dining by the river, and all the food is covered with protective lids to keep insects away, which is very reassuring. The bed is very large, with just the right balance of firmness and softness, very comfortable to sleep on. The staff are constantly cleaning, and there is a small gift left for guests in the evening. Staff welcome you at the hotel entrance at all times, making you us truly at home. ❌Room for Improvement A full-length mirror is needed. We couldn’t find one in the wardrobe, bathroom, or near the entrance door. The soundproofing of the windows is very poor. The wooden windows cannot block out the loud music from nearby bars at night, nor the garbage trucks and birds in the morning. The hotel should consider installing soundproof glass or providing earplugs for guests. I usually go to bed around 10 p.m., but it was extremely noisy. The wooden windows open by sliding and rotating panels, but there are no mosquito screens. Even when closed, there are gaps, and mosquitoes are attracted to the light and come inside. It’s quite scary worrying about being bitten and disturbed by the buzzing sound. Fortunately, we managed to kill three of them 😅 If the minibar is not complimentary, it would be better to empty the fridge so guests can store their own drinks or fruit. I suggest just providing bottled water or, like another hotel we stayed at in Chiang Mai, simply offering a few complimentary sodas. Trust me, very few guests actually use the minibar. Housekeeping informed us that the room needed to be inspected before checkout. We agreed and left our luggage in the lobby while we went to breakfast. We briefly returned to use the bathroom before leaving again and did not use any amenities or disturb the room. However, we were told that because we re-entered, another inspection was required. This felt unnecessarily rigid and inconvenient, especially after we had fully cooperated. A quick bathroom visit should not require a second inspection. Unfortunately, this left us with an unpleasant final impression and overshadowed what had otherwise been a positive stay in Chiangmai.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
