ThaiThong ThaiThong Massage
Tucked along Thanon Samsen in the historic Phra Nakhon district, this traditional massage studio has built a strong following among both travellers and locals for its skilled, technically focused treatments. Located within easy reach of the Khao San Road area, it offers a refreshingly unpretentious alternative to tourist-facing spas, with an atmosphere that reflects the straightforward, professional character of authentic Thai wellness practice. The studio's signature Thai Oil Deep Massage draws consistent praise from visitors, with reviewers highlighting the therapists' command of technique, including focused work on muscles, lymph nodes, and pressure points. The experience is described as firm and thorough rather than superficial, with a mentholated oil adding to the therapeutic effect. Staff are attentive to individual needs, checking in on any problem areas before treatment, and guests are offered tea or water at the session's end — a small but appreciated touch. Good to know: Prices are reported by visitors at around 500 baht, making this a notably accessible option for the quality on offer. Opening hours are not publicly listed, so it is worth contacting the studio directly or arriving during standard Bangkok massage business hours, typically between 10am and 10pm. Traditional Thai massage is performed fully clothed, so wearing loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment is advisable.

Visitor Reviews
During our recent trip, my husband and I decided to indulge in a bit of relaxation and came across ThaiThong ThaiThong Massage. We opted for their Thai Oil Deep Massage, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Each of us took a 1-hour session, priced very reasonably at 500 baht per person, which felt like an absolute steal for the quality of service we received. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. The reception staff was welcoming and professional, creating a calm atmosphere that instantly made us feel comfortable. I was lucky to have Tad as my massage therapist, and I must say, she was incredible. Her technique was both relaxing and therapeutic – the perfect balance of firm pressure and gentle strokes. It felt like she intuitively knew all the pressure points, and by the end of the session, I felt completely relaxed and recharged. My husband had a similarly positive experience with his therapist, and we both agreed that it was one of the best massages we've ever had. After our session, we were offered the chance to take a shower, which was a thoughtful touch that added to the overall comfort. Once we were freshened up, the manager personally served us complimentary tea and water, which added a warm, hospitable finish to our visit. What truly stood out was the professionalism of the entire team. The environment was clean, serene, and, most importantly, entirely genuine. There's nothing shady or questionable about this place, just a top, quality, traditional Thai massage experience delivered with integrity and care. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a truly authentic massage in a respectful, relaxing environment. We’ll definitely be coming back on our next visit!
Superb massage Place for authentic massage in Khao san area. I visited this place after reading some reviews and found the same vibe and atmosphere. The massager lady was experienced and knows all the points to give proper relaxation to the body. She applied good pressure and it was hot oil massage so I felt good after that. Verdict: Value for money place
Best 500 baht you could spend in bangkok. It was my first thai massage and Tad hit every lymphnode and muscle I had. The oil has a mentholy smell and between that and the focus on all my drainage points the entire thing left me feeling way less congested (the AQI is at a high during my trip) They finish it off with hot tea and water. 5/5
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
